Parents evening and reports Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received this week with regard to the publication of the long reports at the end of the Spring term. We are so pleased you found this as useful as we hoped in terms of identifying key development areas for the rest of the academic year for your children. 2 NOTIFICATIONS CANCELLED CLUB Please note that Swimming Squads will be cancelled next week (Thursday 3rd May) due to a swimming gala. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. PA RACE NIGHT SATURDAY 12TH MAY Tickets are still available to purchase for the PA Race Night happening on Saturday 12th May. More information can be found in Sagitta. TACKLING HUNGER ST GEORGES DAY Swallows have raised and Hales have raised , giving KHPS a grand total of for Tackling Hunger! Thank you to everyone who had donated! PA UNIFORM SALE Unfortunately the PA uniform sale scheduled for Saturday 5th May has been cancelled. The next sale is still scheduled for Saturday 16th June. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. SPORTS CENTRE HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES FOR HALES Your child will have come home with a Holiday Activities booklet this week. We have included it in Sagitta also. If your child has not received an enrolment form, please see Sagitta, The Sports Centre direct or online at Parents who wish to enrol their child onto single days, day enrolment forms can be collected from the Sports Centre or downloaded from the website. SCHOOL BANK Here are the dates for the School Bank next Term: Friday 4th May Friday 18th May WATER BOTTLES We should like to remind parents that all children should have a water bottle with them in School, to be able to drink water throughout the day.

4 CROSS COUNTRY The annual Boys Cross Country event was held before half term, we had a great turn out from Years 3-6 with 29 boys attending. There were 151 runners in the A race and 168 runners in the B race. Our 6 boys in the A team ran fantastically finishing 5th overall, with our top finisher coming in 5th. The B team also performed exceptionally with our top 3 runners coming in 2nd, 3rd and 7th, leading to us winning the B race beating over 40 other schools. HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY At the end of the Spring Term all the children in Year 1 & 2 took part in a House Cross Country event. This is the first time we have held this event and were absolutely delighted with the effort and enthusiasm from the children. This will now become an annual event for the children. Arianna in Year 3 participated in the WLCGA Girls Stableford 9 holes competition last Sunday, 22 nd April 2018 in Sutton Coldfield and was awarded the Sylvia Evans Salver award as she played brilliantly in her handicap category. Her handicap has since gone down which means she will now be playing in the ladies red tees for some of the future tours/tournaments. During the Easter break, Arianna also ran the 5km Glow in the Park run in aid of Birmingham Children s hospital together with a friend of hers. Well done Arianna!
