We know come mid October our customers will be waiting for them to be harvested! This year we focused on lots of social media, updates to our website, streamlining processes in the warehouse, and adding more Berdoll merchandise in the retail store. We now have Berdoll t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, magnets and postcards. Some of the items feature our famous squirrel, Ms. Pearl. We have faced a small problem... We are running out of room!! So this summer Jared built a storage building to keep our inshell pecans in. It is located right behind our retail store. We still have our tried and true 20 flavors of Pecans and Pecan Candies. Our Pecan Pies are seriously the best!! If you haven t tried them now is the time!! Our customers seem to like that we have No Added Sugar items!! At the end of 2016 we started accounts with Cabelas.com and HEB. Cabelas sells a select 10 products on their website in October, November, and December. HEB sells 3 of our products in the produce section. Bucees continues to sell our products as well!!! The Berdoll family added 2 more sweet babies this past year. Hal and Lisa now have 8 grandchildren. Hal and Lisa can still be found Country Western dancing. Lisa loves nothing more than helping us with our kiddos and picking up grandkids from school or watching their sporting events. We often joke that she needs a Nana s Bus!!! Hal is doing a little calf roping and loves working on his land transactions. He had back surgery in June, but not much can hold him down. Jared and I are now in year 9 of owning the pecan store. We have 3 kids! Logan 6, Halle almost 4 and Austin 10 months. Jared works a lot and finds a little time to enjoy boating on Lake Travis. I enjoy the combination of being a mommy and running a successful business. It is a great balance and I am so glad that our kids get to spend time with us as we work. My sister Kylene and her husband Will also have 3 kids. Kyndall 7, Kenzie 4.5 and Mason 8 months. They raise whitetail deer and Will works in law enforcement. My brother and his wife Brandi have 2 kids. Clay almost 6 and Emily 2.5 years old. They own a sawmill where they specialize in unique wood.
