Our Family Flew to Denver Colorado in April with Gannon s grand parents for our family vacation as well to celebrate Gannon s 3rd birthday. This was Gannon s second time seeing snow and he was so excited when we arrived. We spent the fi rst day relaxing getting use to the elevation. John and his dad spent most of the week skiing during the day. Since we were traveling a few days before Gannon s birthday he was not quite old enough to ski yet. He turned 3 the day we were leaving. I spent the days with him and his grandmother taking Gannon on the gondola to the top of the mountain to play in the snow and to the special events they had going on for the kids all week. Meet and greet ski patrol, story hour, Sleigh Rides and the family festival. The Mountains are so beautiful in Beaver Creek. The base elevation is 8,100 ft. / 2,469 m. The summit elevation is 11,440ft/ 3,488M and the Vertical Rise is 3,340 ft. / 1,231 m. They have a total of 149 different trails depending on your experience and 25 lifts. The total ski able area is 1,815 acres. 345 acres is for the beginners, 776 acres is for the intermediate and 694 acres is for Advanced/Expert skiers. They have 2 Bowls; Rose Bowl and Larkspur Bowl; Two Gondolas, three Terrain Parks, 1 half pipe, two Triple Chairs, two Double Chairs and 10 high-speed quad chairlifts. The average annual snowfall is 325 inches. The lowest temperature we had while "Beaver Creek Colorado" - continued on Page 7

Cheesy Rice-Stuffed Chicken Breasts by Debs A delicious fi lling of rice, broccoli and Cheddar cheese keeps chicken breasts moist and fl avorful. INGREDIENTS 2 Tbsp. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 cup cooked instant white rice 1 cup frozen chopped broccoli, thawed 8 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (2 lb.), pounded to 1/4-inch thickness 1/4 cup KRAFT Ranch Dressing Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 40 minutes Servings: 8 (1 stuffed chicken breast each) excerpted from kraftrecipes.com DIRECTIONS 1. PREHEAT oven to 350 F. Mix cheeses, rice and broccoli until well blended; set aside. 2. PLACE chicken breasts, top-sides down, on large cutting board; spread evenly with rice mixture. Starting at one of the short ends, tightly roll up each chicken breast; place, seam-side down, in 13x9-inch baking dish. Drizzle evenly with dressing. 3. BAKE 35 to 40 min. or until chicken is cooked through (170 F). Serving Suggestion: Serve with steamed vegetables and a side salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing for a simple, yet impressive, meal the next time you entertain. Cooking Know-How: Place 2 chicken breasts in large freezer-weight resealable plastic bag. Pound chicken with the side of a heavy can, rolling pin or meat mallet until chicken is 1/4-inch thick. Remove chicken from bag; set aside. Repeat with remaining chicken breasts.

7 AAA Im ports May 2012 Page 7 "Beaver Creek Colorado" - continued from Page 1 we were there was 32 degrees but when you take the chair lift to the top of the mountain it becomes a lot windier and very cold especially in the morning. Some Major events that have taken place at Beaver Creek. The mountain was named as a potential site for the 1976 Winter Olympics. In 1989, the resort hosted the World Ski Championships. For the last several years Beaver Creek has hosted the Audi Birds of Prey World Cup, which brings together hundreds of top skiers as they compete to be named World Champion. While we were there we drove down to Vail and to do some shopping and took the gondola to the top of the mountain to go tubing at Adventure Ridge. This was Gannon s fi rst time tubing. For $30.00 you could go as many times as you wanted down the mountain in an infl atable tube for one hour. They had six separate lanes dug out in the snow and everyone was given a time slot. They had an enclosed tunnel with a conveyer belt that you took to the top each time. Gannon was excited as he road to the top of the mountain with his dad but coming down was a different story I could hear him crying as they passed by me. I went down to the end where they unload and Gannon was upset because the ride went too fast for him and he had some snow in his pants. Daddy went a few more times while we watched from the side lines. We had a great time skiing, playing in the snow and spending some family time together. We are looking forward to going back next year. By then Gannon will be old enough to learn to ski and he will be able to join his daddy on the slopes. - Tammy P
