15 CATERING SERVICES The Gold Ridge Centre General Information BANQUET & CONFERENCE CENTRE When planning your next special event, whether a wedding, fundraiser, staff party, seminar or convention, the professional staff at the Gold Ridge Centre will make sure it is a complete success. Our Event Coordinator will be there to assist you every step of the way. While our Executive Chef creates the perfect menu to complement the occasion, our banquet team will provide the ideal room set-up and service to make your event extra special. We appreciate your consideration of our facility and assure you that at the Gold Ridge Centre, our full attention is given to every detail. ROOM SIZE AND SEATING CAPACITY The aboriginal-themed elegance of the Gold Ridge Centre can be home to any type of function accommodating up to 550 guests. Our fully carpeted facility is approximately 5,000 square feet measuring 83 by 60 feet. It includes a 20 by 25 foot stage with adjacent green room, and a 26 by 32 foot dance floor area. CATERING INFORMATION AND POLICIES The Gold Ridge Centre is committed to the highest standards of quality and service. The following information will assist you in planning your event. Event Coordinator The Event Coordinator is the individual responsible for overseeing your event from inception to completion, ensuring all the elements are in place to guarantee success. You, the client, will be working directly with the Event Coordinator, who communicates the details to the appropriate departments. Changes to plans, special requests or last minute requirements must be directed to your Event Coordinator. Exclusivity For the protection of our guests, and in accordance with the Saskatchewan Health and regulations, the Gold Eagle Casino will be the sole supplier of all food and non-alcoholic beverages other than wedding cakes. Food supplied may not be removed or reused. Requests for special products or product sampling for trade shows must be submitted for approval well in advance. Confirmation of Booking A tentative booking can be made pending availability. Bookings are only considered confirmed when we receive a deposit and a returned signed contract. If a deposit has not been received, management reserves the right to reallocate the venue. A non-refundable $500 deposit is required ninety (90) days in advance for all large events to confirm the booking of the facility. A payment in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of your total bill calculated on the final guaranteed number of guests is required fourteen (14) business days prior to the event. All deposits will be applied to the balance owing at the conclusion of the event. Final remittance is due within forty-eight (48) hours of an event. A fifteen (15%) gratuity will be added to food service costs only. 2

16 CATERING SERVICES The Gold Ridge Centre General Information Menu Selection and Dietary Substitutes We ask that you advise our Event Coordinator of your menu selection one (1) month prior to the function date. At this time, we require an estimate of the expected number of guests, with the final guaranteed number required seven (7) business days prior. The highest original expected figure will automatically become the guarantee if the Event Coordinator is not notified by this time. Any special dietary requirements must also be provided to the Event Coordinator forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event. Banquet prices are subject to change due to fluctuating food costs. Prices for all meal functions will be guaranteed three (3) months before the event. Our chef is prepared to serve a number equal to five percent (5%) over the guarantee. Menu prices are subject to GST. A fifteen percent (15%) gratuity is applied to all food and beverage sales prior to applicable taxes. Damage or Loss The Gold Eagle Casino will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of any articles left at our facility prior to, during or following an event. The customer is responsible for any damage to the premises by their guests. Smoking Policy The Gold Ridge Centre is a non-smoking venue. We do, however, provide a deck which can be utilized by smokers. Minimum Requirements for Service For all buffet luncheons there are minimum guest requirements stated in the food and beverage menu and a 30 person minimum for all cash or host bars. SOCAN Tariffs SOCAN, the Society for Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, levies fees for all events at which music or entertainment are employed. Gold Eagle Casino will cover all associated SOCAN fees for your event. Management Right The Gold Ridge Centre reserves the right to refuse or cancel any function deemed by the management to reflect poorly on the integrity or safety of its staff and guests. SERVICE OF ALCOHOL The Gold Ridge Centre is responsible for upholding and administrating the liquor laws set by the province of Saskatchewan with regard to the dispensing of alcoholic beverages. We reserve the right to refuse service to any person or group that would result in the Gold Ridge Centre being in conflict with provincial liquor laws. The Gold Ridge Centre reserves the right to terminate any event before its scheduled end time for such reasons. Our staff has been trained in and practice Responsible Service of Alcohol, and will not serve alcohol to anyone they judge to have consumed too much alcohol or who shows signs of overconsumption. Anyone under the age of nineteen (19) years will not be served alcohol or allowed to consume alcohol anywhere on the property. Current picture identification must be supplied upon request to purchase alcohol. Alcoholic beverages cannot be served after 2:00 a.m. with one hour tolerance. Premises must be vacated by 3:00 a.m. Food sufficient for a light meal must be available to those attending all functions where alcohol is served. HOST BAR The host pays for all beverages consumed. All consumption will be charged to the host s invoice. The host bar may also have a pre-set limit. When the tab reaches a pre-set amount, the bartender will alert the host to determine if the host bar will continue or be terminated. At this time, guests will be responsible for purchasing their own drinks. It is also possible to combine a host/cash bar. For example, the host can choose to provide all the beer and pop, while guests pay cash for all other drinks, or the host may choose to pay for drinks during a specific time only, such as during the cocktail hour. 3

17 CATERING SERVICES The Gold Ridge Centre General Information CASH BAR Beverages are sold to guests on an individual basis. Cash bars require a minimum of thirty (30) persons. A staffing charge of twenty-five dollars ($25) per hour will be charged if bar sales do not exceed three hundred dollars ($300). AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT LED Projector... $25 Screen... $10 Flip Charts and Markers... $12 TV /DVD/ VCR... $25 Podium... $15 Corkage Bar (Cost Recovery Permit Bar) The convener provides all alcohol with appropriate permits. An occasional permit must be purchased at a Saskatchewan Liquor Store. All alcohol brought into the Centre to be served on your permit bar must be listed on the liquor permit by the liquor vendor. All alcohol will be checked against the permit upon delivery to the Centre and any shortages will be noted with the permit holder. The permit must remain with the alcohol and a receipt for all liquor must be attached to the permit. Saskatchewan liquor laws state that homemade wine or beer is not permitted. The Gold Ridge Centre staff must comply with the conditions of the permit and are not allowed to alter the permit in any way. The Gold Ridge Centre is not allowed to sell additional alcohol to the permit holder to be added to the permit. Neither can the Gold Ridge Centre exchange alcohol on the permit. In order to allow for proper chilling, we suggest liquor be delivered to the Gold Ridge Centre twenty-four (24) hours prior to the function. All liquor and wine must be unopened. All liquor and wine must be removed from the facility immediately following the event. The charge for a full corkage bar is $6.25 per person plus applicable taxes and gratuity. This includes chilling, cocktail straws, swizzle sticks, soft drinks, orange, tomato and clamato juice for mix, fruit and vegetable garnishes, cocktail napkins, suitable stemware, glasses and ice. The maximum price that may be charged for a liquor ticket according to the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is $2.00 per drink. There is no minimum price. Convener is asked to supply ticket sellers, tickets, cash float and cash box. The Gold Ridge Centre strongly suggests that you look into the purchase of party alcohol liability insurance. 4

18 CATERING SERVICES Wedding Policies On behalf of the Gold Eagle Casino, we wish to congratulate you on your upcoming wedding. To confirm your wedding, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required ninety (90) days following the booking or ninety (90) days prior to the event, whichever comes first. One month prior to the wedding date, we will meet to discuss details regarding the arrangement of the room, the menu and the estimated number of guests. Based on these numbers, an estimated cost will be compiled and an additional deposit, for a total of fifty percent (50%) paid, will be required a minimum of fourteen (14) business days prior to the event. Payment in full of the balance of your account is required within forty-eight (48) hours of the wedding. A pre-event meeting will be scheduled between you and the Event Coordinator along with the catering department ten (10) days prior to the wedding to review all final arrangements. 5
