This Week's Turkey Feature Highlights Turkey activity slows as we near the end of month. Whole birds are a little easier to find with values usually lower. Bone-in breasts increase in offerings and price. Rotisserie breast offers are virtually non-existent. White meats are harder to find when compared to a week ago. You will tend to pay a little more for cutlets and marinated tenders. Dark part offers increase slightly; prices are mixed for both the fresh and the smoked varieties. Grinds are less active. The majority of attention is focused on 93% lean. Weighted average prices are lower for conventional ground breast meat and specialty 93-94% leans, while the balance of ground items trend higher. Deli activity gains some momentum due to an increase in self-service offerings. Whole muscle and shaving meats are better valued.
