This Week's Turkey Feature Highlights Turkey activity increases this week. Whole birds are void from ad space. Frozen bone-in breasts are easier to find, but you will tend to pay a little more. Rotisserie breasts gain in both offerings and price. White meats are seen less often. Thin sliced cutlets and boneless whole breasts are better valued. There are a greater number of dark part offers. Prices are trend higher for the smoked variety and are mixed for fresh. Grind activity gains momentum. There is a better mix of selections this week, but 93% and 85% lean continue to be promoted the most. Weighted average prices are lower for ground breast and specialty 93-94% leans. Deli activity slows. Processor label thick and thin slicing meats, along with that type of self-service items, are lower priced.
