1 Breakfast and Tea Menu Breakfast Meal ONLY 2.75 Tea Meal ONLY 3.25 Please complete: Name Address
2 Welcome We operate 365 days of the year! Thank you for choosing our Tea and/or Breakfast meal. We are very proud of both the quality and variety of our balanced, nutritious meals. This menu is provided so that you can make breakfast and tea choices throughout the week. These will be delivered with your hot meal each day, and placed in the fridge for you to eat later in the day (tea) or the next morning (breakfast). You can make changes to your menu choices at any time. Our Nutrition and Wellbeing team has created some simple coding to make it easier for you to choose options to suit you. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Key to symbols Gluten free Choices that are free from gluten and suitable if you have coeliac disease or have an intolerance to gluten. Higher energy Sandwiches containing at least 400 calories, snacks with at least 175 calories per portion. egetarian Dishes suitable for people following a vegetarian diet. While every care has been taken to ensure product information is correct, food products are constantly being reformulated, so nutrition content and allergens may change. You should always read the product label and not rely solely on the information provided on this menu. Although product information is regularly updated, HILS is unable to accept liability for any incorrect information. Choose your Tea and/or Breakfast choices each day Give your completed menu to your Community Team delivery driver or return it by post or if you prefer We can provide you with a copy of your completed menu upon request as a record of what you have ordered We hope you enjoy browsing our Breakfast and Tea menu. Special Dietary Needs Diabetes - All of our tea and breakfast choices are suitable for people with diabetes. However, food choices are an important part of your diabetes management. Please contact the Nutrition team who can advise on suitable choices. Low fat If you have been told to follow a low fat diet by a health professional, or if you have concerns about your heart health or cholesterol, please contact our Nutrition and Wellbeing team who can advise on suitable choices. Low salt - If you have been told to follow a low salt diet by a health professional, please contact our Nutrition and Wellbeing team who can advise further. Soft and Puréed Meals If you have difficulty chewing, you may find some of our Tea and Breakfast options are easier to eat. However, if you have difficulty swallowing, none of the Tea or Breakfast items shown on this menu are texture modified, so if a health professional has advised you to have a texture modified diet, such as Category C (puree), D (soft) or E (fork-mashable). Unfortunately, we do not have tea or breakfast alternatives at this time to suit the needs of those on a texture modified diet. Healthy weight gain - If you are underweight, losing weight, or have a small appetite, you can choose the higher energy options. Contact us for a booklet on achieving healthy weight gain. Healthy weight loss If you are watching your weight, you can choose to avoid the options that are labelled as higher energy. Allergy and Intolerances - Allergens are clearly marked on the list of ingredients on our packaging. If you have any questions about food allergies and intolerances please call us for more information so we can help you choose appropriate tea and breakfast options. Whatever your needs and preferences, we will do our very best to meet these. On rare occasions we may need to offer a substitution to your preferred choice, but we will always ensure that the Tea or Breakfast items are suitable for you. 2 HILS Breakfast and Tea Menu HILS Breakfast and Tea Menu 3
