1 A Story of a passion This is the story of a group of food-loving friends who are crazy about BBQ. They gathered every Saturday to cook their specialties on the grill and especially there famous beef brisket, owing its name to Scandinavian Middle Ages (Old Norse). As time went by, they tirelessly perfected their technique by trying various combination of spices, while testing cooking times to get the tenderest meat possible. This passion led them far away, as far as the southwest United States, where they traveled to increase their BBQ IQ. This quest for perfection in taste, freshness, meat selection and seasonings was rewarded: Deeply impressed, family and friends encouraged them to establish a restaurant in this field. That is how this smokehouse concept was created in 2011 to become Laval s RUBS SMOKEHOUSE in 2014! This shared passion for BBQ by a group of friends instigated a new kind of smokehouse in Canada. Not limited to smoked meats, RUBS SMOKEHOUSE expanded their reach of its totally original cooking methods as it becomes RUBS AMERICAN BBQ.
