5 WHAT WE EAT GIVES US ENERGY that examines how the language of science instruction can be altered to enhance students cognition and When we eat food like hamburgers and retention. Students participating in his cohort participated in data french fries we get energy. The problem is that we are eating the stored energy of the animals we are eating. That energy comes with fat and is less efficient. FRUITS AND VEGTETABLES When you eat food like vegetables, we are eating the stored food in plants. The plants store the energy from the sun. This is a good energy sources that is efficient. IT ALL COMES FROM THE SUN No matter what food we eat, all of the original energy comes from the sun light. The closer the food sources to making energy from the sun, the more efficient it is. Science For The Community Science in the City +5

STEP #1: Find your materials You will need to get your materials for your science laboratory: 1 Large Can 1 Small Can 1 Ligher 1 Can opener 1 Cork STEP #2: Prepare your can You will need to prepare your can Use a hammer and a nail to poke a hole into the can Poke cans all around the can so the fire can continue to burn Science in the City +11

12 STEP #3: Make your second can You will need clean the second can. Turn it upside down. STEP #4: Prepare your second can Use the hammer to create small holes towards to top of the small can. Make sure your can has hole on the same spot on both sides of the can so it can hang. Science in the City +12
