2 Tuesday May 27 No later than 6:30am: leave Lake Fausse Pointe State Park 9am: Old River Control Structure: presentation and tour (about 2 hours total) 12:30pm: Lunch at Not Your Mama s Café 367 N Hwy 1 Morganza, LA (225) French night 10pm: daily reports

3 Wednesday May 28 No later than 8am: leave Lake Fausse Pointe State Park (check out) 9am: Barry Ancelet s presentation at Vermilionville in Lafayette and visit of Acadian village we re to arrive at 10 am (which is when the place opens) after a brief orientation, we ll go on a guided tour of the village (at a group cost of $35) after the tour, it s lunch at La Cuisine de Maman after lunch, we ll tour the watershed exhibit after the watershed exhibit, we ll break for a visit to the gift shop after the gift shop, we ll go on a canoe outing up the bayou (she didn t know what that ll cost, but will fin and let me know) Lunch at village or nearby After lunch: canoeing with Emile Ancelet (Barry s son) until around 4pm (from Lake Martin and the Evangeline Canal on the Bayou Vermilion to Vermilionville) 5pm: possible gathering with French speakers 4:30pm: Le Centre International de Lafayette: Jeanne Mouton s presentation and visit 735 Jefferson Street Lafayette, LA Check in Blue Moon Saloon (337) Toll Free within US BLUE (2583) info@bluemoonpresents.com 215 East Convent Street Lafayette, Louisiana U.S.A. 4 Thursday May 29: bring a sack lunch and dinner No later than 6am: leave Blue Moon Saloon 9am: arrive at LUMCOM; Nicole Cotten will meet us at DeFelice Marine Center in Cocodrie for a tour of the exhibits and facilities and a one- hour presentation on LUMCON. 11am: 2- hour canoe outing into a salt marsh Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) 8124 Highway 56 Chauvin, LA From Houma Continue south on Hwy 24 until it becomes Hwy 56 and continue directly south and straight through Chauvin and to Cocodrie. [[Do not turn left to follow Hwy 24 at the traffic light at the Casino.]] After about 25 miles you will be in Cocodrie. LUMCON is on the right about ¼ of a mile from the end of the road. Can t miss it, tall observation tower. (Looks like an airport.) Sack lunches either at the center or on the research boat 1pm: return to DeFelice and boat trip on the R/V Acadiana (a 58' research boat) to upper Terrebonne Bay 6pm: Dinner at LUMCON 7pm: daily reports

5 Friday May 30: bring a sack lunch and afternoon No later than 8am: leave LUMCON 9am: Volunteer work at Barataria- Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP); meet with Joe Dantin who will give us instructions depending on weather and current needs. Pass through Morgan City continuing on LA Hwy 90 East. 3. Take the Thibodaux/Houma Exit and turn left towards Thibodaux onto Hwy Drive on Hwy 24 (road turns into Hwy. 20 for 8.7 miles into the city of Thibodaux and La. Hwy Turn right onto Hwy. 1 South and drive 1 mile to the Nicholls campus. Turn right onto Audubon Drive Nicholls State University sign. BTNEP office is in North Babington Hall (The first university building on your right.) 6 Saturday May 31 8am: explore Cypremort Point State Park No later than 10:30am: leave Cypremort Point State Park 12pm: meet Mavis Arnaud Fruge ( ) at Little Big Cup restaurant for lunch 1pm: go with Mavis to NuNu s for dessert and meet her friends for interview After interviews at 3pm or 4pm: visit Arnaudville and Breaux Bridge No later than 6pm: back at cabin for cooking 8pm: dinner and daily reports 10pm: packing

7 Sunday June 1 5am: return vans 6am: arrive at Lafayette airport 6:55am: Flight Flight AA 2891 leaves; arrives in Dallas at 8:30am 10am: Flight Flight AA 2258 leaves Dallas from Terminal 0; arrives in MSP at 12:25pm Back in Eau Claire between 3 and 4pm
