2 MARINATED OCTOPUS PRODUCTS West Australian Octopus (species O-tetricus) is considered to be the best eating octopi in the world due to the abundance of its favourite food lobster, crab and scallop. The rich, dense flesh has almost a lobster-like sweetness to it and the smooth, creamy texture is a result of the handling at harvest and the use of the slow freezing method. Marinated Fremantle Octopus on Greek Salad; Cucumber, Red Peppers, White Onion, Tomato, Parsley, Olives, Feta, Oregano. : 1 jar of 300g marinated octopus : Serves 2 as sharing entree : Serves 1 as a main Cut up Greek Salad. Use 2 tablespoons of Dressing from Marinated Fremantle Octopus. Toss through salad and serve. Fremantle Marinated Octopus with Torn Coriander : 1 jar of 300g Fremantle Marinated Octopus : 3 steams of Coriander Drain Marinated Octopus and place on plate. Sprinkle torn coriander over octopus. We then steam cook the squid to perfect tenderness, hand slice into rings then marinate using a selection of carefully blended herbs with a hint of lemon myrtle. 8 ABOUT FREMANTLE OCTOPUS Founded by Ross and Craig Cammilleri in 2000, originally a by-product of the WA Rock Lobster Industry, the brothers discovered the magnificent eating qualities of the octopus (species O tetricus) and decided to set up shop in octopus fishing and the manufacture of processed value added octopus products for sale in both the Australian and Overseas markets. Later this then lead to creating the Raw 1kg Tentical Hand that is now world renowned. As of recent years the brothers developed an array of other valued added Aussie seafood lines such as Albany marinated Sardines and marinated Bass Strait Squid. Distributors The species of octopus ( O tetricus ) found off the Western Australian coast is considered to be one of the best species of octopus in the world due to the colour of its flesh when processed, tenderness and smooth flavorsome eating qualities. The company has not only created a sustainable octopus fishing industry in Western Australia where none previously existed, it has also built a thriving manufacturing operation that has a world reputation for high quality seafood products.
