A nose of citrus fruits and ripe apples, with underlying notes of vanilla. Mineral texture, high acidity, vibrant green fruits and a long, lingering finish. Overtones of subtle spice and vanilla. 15 Riscos Malbec 14% Chile Heavy, bold and brimming with stewed black fruits and hints of coffee. A powerful and opulent red. 16 Porta 6, Lisboa 13.5% Portugal Quintessentially Portuguese red, offering plenty of warm, jammy forest fruit flavours combined with heady aromas of violets and touches of spice. Supple, chewy tannins provide texture and length. 17 Marquez de Laia, Crianza 13.5% Spain This deep cherry red wine is full of black fruit and liquorice notes, with hints of cocoa and toast from 12 months ageing in American oak barrels. Supple trannins and elegant on the palate. 18 Claro Reserva Pinot Noir 13.5% Chile A richly fruity Pinot Noir, full of ripe strawberry and redcurrant flavours, supported by subtle notes of dried mixed herbs and woodsmoke medium weight, with soft tannins.
