5 Welcome Welcome to the 21 st White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales. Our annual festival features around 75 winter and strong ales, of between 5% and 10% ABV. They have been selected from mostly small independent and micro-breweries from across the country. In particular, look out for the Kent Beers section which features the best of the real ales from breweries across our county. We are grateful for the support of individuals, organisations and businesses who have sponsored and supported our festival, usually in the form of a barrel of beer. In particular, we would like to thank AVS, our major beer supplier, and the Hopdaemon Brewery, for sponsoring the festival glasses and brewing a First World War commemorative ale. We d also like to thank our volunteers, without whose help this festival would never happen - be nice to them! Enjoy your beer, drink responsibly and please do not drink and drive. Opening Times Winter Ales Festival Committee Friday, 7 th February: 1pm - 11pm (No beer will be served after time has been called. Please return your glasses and vacate the premises by 11.15pm) Saturday, 8 th February: 10.30am - 6pm (Or until the beer runs out) Sponsored Charity To commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War, the branch s chosen charity this year is the Royal British Legion.
