1 Drinks While prohibition threw a damper on nightlife in the USA, Buenos Aires was booming. The influx of some of the world s most revered bartenders ignited the bars and clubs in Argentina s capital city. The 1920 s 1950 s saw the golden era in Buenos Aires, with it s magnificent architecture, cuisine and love of the arts. The opera houses, hotels, restaurants and milongas were more alive than ever. This energy is encapsulated in the story of Santiago Pichín Policastro, who went on to inspire the next generation of the gallant bartender throughout South America.
