3 Welcome Welcome! This is my first year in the role of Beer Festival Organiser (BFO) and I hope that this year s event will be just as successful as all the previous ones. We ve all got our fingers crossed that once again the sun will shine all week just as it did last year! I would like to start off by say a big thank you to everyone on the festival organising team for their support, advice and effort in putting this event together over the past 10 months. My thanks also to the many volunteer bar staff who will be working hard to ensure you, our guests, enjoy your visit here today. We have a superb range of over 300 quality real ales on offer from across the UK, a fine selection at the continental beer bar and all backed up by a larger Brewery Bar section showcasing 8 breweries this year including some new names for you to visit. Ciders & Perries continue to gain in popularity so we have increased the number of each on offer and also extended the bar by 5 metres in length which we hope will cut down queuing time at busy periods. As always our entertainment offers a range of music styles throughout the festival. On the catering front the variety of food, including the return of last year s popular Fish & Chip van, should provide a wide choice and something for everyone. We want you to have a great time. However, please drink responsibly and kindly take into account the local residents when it comes to leaving the festival especially late at night. Cheers!
