The name Van Bulck is in reference to his mother s maiden name. His mother, who is also a renowned chef, was born and raised in a small town called Watou in Flanders which is known across the globe for growing some of the best hops. As a child she grew up and played in her uncle s family brewery where her passion for craft beer was born. Today she still runs the family hotel/restaurant where she only works with organic products. 2

The range of beers have been developed by Denis Renty in partnership with a brewery that has been brewing The Brewing History beers for seven generations.

The brewery, which is in Flanders in Belgium has been brewing beers since Van Bulck s beers are based on an old family recipe which have been adapted to suit the palate of today. The brewery, has undergone signifcant investment over the years to improve the quality of the beer as well as increasing the brewing capacity to cope with demand and to meet the strict requirements of brewing organic beers 3
