2 ABOUT CAVE DIRECT Founded in 1979, Cave Direct is a supplier of craft and speciality beers to the UK drinks trade proud to work with leaders of old and new-world beer, from Lervig to Westmalle. Operating out of our depots in the South East, Bristol, Newcastle and Manchester we directly deliver over 300 lines of premium draught and packaged beers via our own fleet of drays. We also offer a comprehensive national courier delivery service for those outside our direct delivery areas. We are exclusive UK importers and distributors for a range of world-renowned breweries such as Paulaner, Kona and Lervig, as well as being the UK s biggest supplier of imported Belgian beer, including the lambic and Trappist breweries, and a host of modern producers. LONGHAMMER Citrusy AMERICAN IPA 6.2% NEW IN 2018: HANALEI IPA draught Cave Direct are excited to release Kona Hanalei IPA on draught for the first time this year. This 4.5% session IPA is made with passionfruit, guava and orange, three fruits native to Hawaii. As well as the rich, citrusy sweetness from the fruit and hops, it has a clean crisp finish with enough bitterness to make it really drinkable and make it a great counterpoint to Big Wave and Longboard on the bar. 20l keg 24 x 355ml 3

4 GERMANY While the world becomes obsessed with hops and sours, Germany has remained the staunch home of world-class lager. We focus on Munich, where the perfect water, malt and hops combine with the country s strict brewing standards to make some of the cleanest, most delicious lagers. PAULANER, MUNICH Founded in 1634 years, Paulaner is one of the original Munich breweries and still brews to the centuries-old Reinheitsgebot guaranteeing great ingredients and traditional methods. 5 HACKER-PSCHORR, MUNICH One of Bayern s most historical breweries, Hacker-Pschorr brewed beer for the first Oktoberfest. Their beers are typically more intensely flavoured than other Munich beers. 6 NORWAY Lervig, norway Founded by locals after Carlsberg bought and closed Stavanger s only brewery, Lervig got the world s attention when rockstar brewer Mike Murphy joined. He makes some of the finest guezes in the world, and his fruit beers are just as well regarded as for the Mariage Parfait series of older blends words cannot do them justice. 17 TILQUIN, REBECQ An artisan lambic blender with a fantastic reputation for its geuze and fruited varieties, especially the plum. RODENBACH GRAND CRU FLEMISH RED ALE 6% RB SLAGhmuylder, NINOVE Witkap beers are brewed in keeping with the monastic styles and given the official designation of Abbey beer. It has other great claims too, such as being the oldest brewery in Wallonia, and it has passed on recipes and skills for generations. 19 BRASSERIE DUPONT, TOURPES This farmhouse brewery has come to be synonymous with the style of saison. Their version is nearly untouchable for its full, spicy depth and dry finish, and the annual dry-hopped edition is one of the best beers in the world. 20 BRASSERIE DES LEGENDES, ELLEZELLES Famous for one beer and one beer only, but what a beer. Hercule is one of the best stouts in the world, using a unique strain of yeast and being aged in German Oak casks HERCULE BELGIAN STOUT 9% RB KASTEEL, Izegem Technically called Castle Brewery Van Honsebrouck, this brewery make a range of high ABV, intensely flavoured beers. 21 TRAPPIST Trappist beers are brewed by (or under the supervision of) Monks within the walls of a monastry. There are 11 around the globe and but 6 in Belgium, where the care, attention and lack of commercial pressures means some of these beers are the best in the world. Westmalle, MOSTHEUVEL One of the most important breweries in the world, this Trappist Abbey invented the Tripel and the Dubbel, and still brew the best examples of them today. WESTMALLE DUBBEL FRUITY AMBER ALE 7% 20l keg RB WESTMALLE TRIPEL SPICY BELGIAN BLONDE 9.5% RB ROCHEFORT, ARDENNES Rochefort brewery was founded way back in 1595, making it the oldest Trappist brewery. It has brewed its amber beer, the 6, for much of that time but added the 8 and 10 in the last 100 years. The 10 has gone on to be listed by many as the best beer in the world. 22 CHIMAY, HAINAUT The biggest of the trappist breweries, Chimay has a wide range of beers and has just started a barrel-ageing programme too. The beers all age beautifully showing real brewing skill.
