1 Ministry of Plantation Industries Sri Lanka Tea Board Participation at International Trade Fairs 2015 Applications are invited from registered Tea Exporters for selection for participation at International Trade Fairs under Sri Lanka Tea Board subsidized participation scheme that will come into effect from 1 st March Exporters of pure Ceylon Tea brands with Lion Logo and a proven track record will be considered for selection. Selection of participants will be made by a panel appointed by the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the decision of the panel will be final. The subsidy scheme will cover space rental and booth construction. All other expenses will have to be borne by the selected participants. Selected applicants will be entitled to a subsidy as specified below: Exporter All exporters (Large, Medium & Small) Small Subsidy 50% of cost of Space & Booth Construction only (for individual booth) Information desk facilities will be provided free of charge to exporters within the Tea Board booth. 3 PARTICIPATION AT INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS 2015 World Tea Expo, Long Beach, USA (6-8 May) World Tea Expo 2015 is scheduled to be held in Long Beach Convention Center, CA, USA from 6th to 8th May World Tea Expo is the leading trade show and conference focused 100% on premium teas and related products. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair along with the private sector exporting companies in Sri Lanka. The cost per 100 sq. ft. (10 x10) shell scheme booth will be around USD 3,200 (Approximately LKR 425,000/=). Seoul Food, Seoul, Korea (12-15 May) The 33rd Seoul Food, Korea International Food Industry Trade show is scheduled to be held from 12th to 15th May 2015 at Kintex Hall, Seoul, Korea. Seoul Food - Korea is the 3rd largest Food Industry show in Asia with 32 years of history. The show is expected to attract around 54,000 professional buyers from over 45 countries including many key food & beverage trade buyers from neighboring Asian countries. TaiFex, Bangkok, Thailand (20-24 May) The 12th Edition of Thaifex - World of Food Asia Trade show is scheduled to be held from 20th - 24th May 2015 at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. International Trade Exhibition for the Tea and Coffee Industry in Asia also will be held parallel to Thaifex at the same venue. The show is expected to attract around 30,000 Trade buyers from over 125 countries including many key food &beverage trade buyers from neighboring Asian countries. The show is expected to over 12,000 professional buyers from over 21 countries. The Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Country pavilion for Ceylon Tea at SIAL - BRAZIL The total cost per 3m x3m (9 Sqm) booth (Shell Scheme package) will be USD 4050/= (approximately LKR 525,000/=) Malaysia International Food & Beverage Trade Fair, Malaysia (11-13 June) The 16 th Edition of Malaysian International Food & Beverage (MIFB) Trade show is scheduled to be held from 11 th - 13 th June 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Malaysia. The show is expected to attract around 23,000 Trade buyers from over 45 countries including many key food & beverage trade buyers from neighboring Asian countries. The total cost per 9 Sqm booth (Shell Scheme package) will be USD 3850 /= (approximately LKR 500, 000/=) Summer Fancy Food, New York, USA (27-30 June) Summer Fancy Show 2015 is scheduled to be held in Jacob Javits Conventional center, NY, USA from 28th to 30th June Summer Fancy Food Show is the leading trade show (Foods and Beverages) and conference focused 100% on premium teas and tea related products. companies in Sri Lanka. International Tea Fair, Hong Kong (11-15 August) The 7 th Hong Kong International Tea Fair 2015 is scheduled to be held from 13 th 15 th August 2015 in Hong Kong. Due to successful outcome of our participation in the last six years, Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to coordinate a Sri Lanka Tea pavilion this time as well. Sri Lanka Tea Board has now been successful in negotiating special rates for participating booth holders from Sri Lanka. The concessions offered to the exhibitors from Sri Lanka are given below:- - 30% discount on booth cost (each 9sqm will cost US$ 3,375 excluding the discount) - 3-night hotel sponsorship per exhibitor - Free Business Matching service for each 9sqm paid booth Fine Food, Sydney, Australia (20-23 September) Fine Food Australia is the largest gathering of international food, drink and equipment for the retail, foodservice and hospitality industries in Australia and celebrates their 30th year in The next Fine Food Australia show will run in Sydney from 20th - 23rd September 2015 at the Sydney Show Ground, Sydney Olympic Park. Fine Food Australia is a trade only event. Admission is restricted to professional persons working in the food, drink or equipment industries. The Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Country pavilion for Ceylon Tea at Fine Food The total cost per 3m x3m (9 Sqm) booth (Shell Scheme package) will be AU$ 5,500/- (approx. LKR 725, 000). World Food, Moscow, Russia (21-24 September) The World Food Moscow Exhibition (WFM) is Russia s Premier International Exhibition for the Food and Drink industry where the world of food meets Russia. Now in its 24 th year, World Food Moscow continues to provide suppliers in the food and drink industry with a great opportunity to meet buyers in one of the World s most sought after growth markets Russia. The WFM 2015 is scheduled to be held from 21 st to 24 th September in Moscow. The exhibition will be organized by ITE Group PLC. Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to coordinate a Sri Lanka Tea Pavilion this time as well. The cost per 9 SQM (3m x 3m) shell scheme booth will be incurred Euro 1500/= (Approximately Rs.275,000/=). World Tea & Coffee Expo, Mumbai, India (01-03 October) The 3rd World Tea & Coffee Expo" 2015 WTCE, India's International trade show focused on the Tea & Coffee Sectors will be held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, India from 1 st to 3 rd October In addition to showcasing brands, products, machinery & technologies from India and abroad, a business-to-business (b2b) match-making program will form an integral part of WTCE's 2015 strategy. Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to coordinate a Sri Lanka Tea Pavilion in this time. The event is organized by International Communication Association of Chinese Tea Culture, Xiamen General Chamber of Commerce and Xiamen International Chamber of Commerce for the 6 th Consecutive year. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends promoting a Country Group Stand for Ceylon Tea at the above Exhibition this year too. We have been successful in negotiating a special discounted price for participants from Sri Lanka for this year also. The total cost per 3m X 3m (9sqm) standard equipped booth will be USD 600= (Approximately LKR 78,000) after discount of 50% of booth cost of USD The shell scheme is a modern aluminum structure with walls. For the past 18 years, World Food Ukraine has proved to be an effective forum for introducing international products to the market. Companies can meet decision-making buyers, including: food and drink producers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and restaurateurs. The WFU 2014 is scheduled to be held from 27 th to 30 th October in Kyiv, Ukraine. The exhibition will be organized by ITE Group PLC. Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to coordinate a Sri Lanka Tea Pavilion in this time.
