S.W.O.T STRENGTH WEAKNESS S W O C OPPORTUNITY CHALLANGE
S.W.O.T STRENGTH S Vast area of land used for farming, famous for coffee and pepper production in the whole country Favorable natural conditions: rich basaltic soil, appropriate weather CƠ HỘI THÁCH THỨC Develop perennial industrial crops, advantages in quality management, building plants. There are plantations in the region which are certified by GTZ, 4C, UTZ, R.A. Potentially, the area of organic -certified production will be extended Skilled labor force
S.W.O.T WEAKNESS MẶT MẠNH W Located far from the city centre, high transportation cost The productivity still highly depends on the natural conditionscơ HỘI THÁCH THỨC Shortage of mechanization in production leads to high production cost. Inappropriate investments in harvesting, processing, storages
S.W.O.T MẶT MẶT MẠNH YẾU O OPPORTUNITY Approval from the government for investments in production and processing plants Farmers prefer to having direct negotiation with processing units to selling for agencies or collectors in order to receive higher sale price. High demand of fresh CƠ and HỘI healthy products THÁCH which THỨC are produced in compliance with high export standards Building processing plants in material sources is a common trend which improves competitiveness for export-oriented companies. The local government actively calls for investments in high value-added agro-projects
S.W.O.T O MẶT MẶT MẠNH YẾU CƠ HỘI CHALLENGE Climate changes have negative effects on productivity Scale and structure of plantations could be changed and it s hard to predict productivity, supply and market demand. That s caused by improper management practices of local governmental agency towards farmers CƠ HỘI Habit of fertilization use causes loss of soil fertility and damages the quality of products. Many farmers are not trained how to use pesticides properly. As a consequence, there is an exceed of maximum residue limited
CONCLUSION Investors/ Customers Cheer Farm Farmers Dak Lak has high potentials for building high quality material sources. There are valuable opportunities for sustainable growth and development in the local ago-industry. Appropriate investments and good management practices in agro-activities will increase the competitiveness of local produces and create high-profits to all partners involved.
