Green Sencha - A delicious, fresh and clean tasting tea consisting of premium, sencha green tea leaves. Perfect on its own. 6 TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. Credit card details are required to secure your High Tea Special Occasion package. 2. Final numbers are required 7 days before your event, at this point FULL pre payment of your Special Occasion package is required. 3. Credit card surcharge of 3% applies to all American Express card payments. 4. Arrival times will be determined at the time of enquiry and appropriate booking and confirmation forms will be provided at this time. 5. Amended bookings: In the event that food and beverage requirements decrease between 2-7 days prior to the event, management reserves the right to charge a 50% fee relating to the decrease in the food and beverage items. Increases in numbers within 2-7 days prior to the event can not be guaranteed until confirmed by The George and will be charged at the full menu price. Changes in food and beverage requirements within 48 hours of the event may be declined and must be approved by management. 6. Consumption of Outside Food and Beverage: No food or beverage of any kind will be permitted to be bought into the venue by the client or any other person attending the function unless by prior arrangement with The George. 7. Equipment, Decorations and Entertainment: Inappropriate hens paraphernalia is prohibited. All personal belongings are asked to be collected at the conclusion of your event. Unfortunately there are not facilities for storage of these items on premise. The George is not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged. Decorations are not permitted on any walls within the venue. 8. Supply of Alcoholic Beverages: The George reserves the right to refuse supply of alcoholic beverages to any guest that are deemed to be under legal drinking age, intoxicated or behaving in an offensive manner. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 9. Responsibility: You assume full responsibility of the conduct of your guests and invitees, and you must ensure The George sother guests and visitors are not disturbed by your function, guests or invitees. 10. The George does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after your function unless caused by the negligence of The George, its employees, agents or contractors. 11. Right of Refusal: Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any patrons who are inappropriately dressed, intoxicated, or behaving in an offensive manner. 7 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How long does a high tea session last? Each high tea sitting is two hours, the food will be served within this time and you will be able to have continuous tea for the two hours. What time can we arrive? Please arrive as close to the booking time as possible, if you arrive early there is a chance your table may not be ready and there will be a longer wait on the food. The kitchen plans your food to be ready around the times of your bookings. Please also try not to be late as it may shorten the high tea experience for you. Can we stay longer? Of course, you are always welcome to stay. We may move your group to a move comfortable area but there is no need to hurry out. The venue is open late on a Saturday night and closes at 5pm on Sundays. Is there a private space available? We do have a private space available to book, the London room. To book this space there is a hire fee of $120 for the first hour and $100 for each following hour (2 hour minimum). This room is subject to availability. Can you cater to dietary requirements? We do our very best to cater to the majority of dietary requirements. We can cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and some individual items. Dietary requirements need to be advised at least 72 hours prior to your booking to allow adequate preparation time. Please do note that we do only have the one kitchen so even with the greatest of care taken cross contamination cannot be completely ruled out. Confirmation of final numbers and payment. All groups are required to confirm numbers and make full payment 7 days prior to the booking. Can we decorate? Of course, decorations are always welcome. All decorations in the restaurant are required to be tasteful and what you bring with you must leave with you. No decorations are to be on the floor as this create a tripping hazard for guests and the staff. Please keep in mind also that there still needs to be enough room on the tables for food and beverage. If you have hired the London room you are welcome to decorate more extensively. Can we play games? Games are not permitted in the main restaurant as it is disruptive to the guests, quizzes and questioners that can be completed at the table without disturbing other guests is accepted. If the London room has been booked you can play whichever games you please so long as any mess created is taken with you. Is there room for prams and do you have high chairs? If you are bringing a pram please do advise on your booking and we will do our best to allow space. We do have high chairs, please also request this on your booking. They are limited and subject to availability. Do you cater to children? Yes, children are welcome to attend high tea, a child serving is $25. Where can we park? The George does not have its own parking, there is a Wilsons parking directly behind the building that can be accessed from St Georges Terrace. This is the closest paid parking but there are many other options in the area.
