5 The dark side...spanish and Aztec Indians Spanish used their superior weapons to defeat the Aztec and turn them into slaves who had to work in gold mines the gold was shipped to Spain and turned into finished goods (rings,necklaces,religious items) Nov 1 9:44 AM The Spanish used their technology to cut their labor costs. He called the new church...the church of England = Anglican church. Some people objected and called it phony...they protested...they s became known as protestants...
