1 Guidelines for Paper Code 406: Project Report and Viva-voce For BBA Part II Sem (IV) As a part of the curriculum, every student of B.B.A. II year is required to submit a project report. This is an important assignment and carries weightage of 100 marks (Project Report 50 marks and Viva 50 marks). The project should not be a mere compilation of data from multiple published sources, but great importance should be given to primary data justifying a fair problem of the organization. The work should indicate student s ability to systematically define and analyze the problem. Any contemporary issue of the business world could be taken as an area of study. Each student has to make 4 copies of the report. Two for the University of Rajasthan, one for our College and one for self. All the students are advised to follow the similar pattern and format as mentioned below: o Title Page (same format as guided by Faculty Guides) o Table of Contents o Preface o Acknowledgement o Certificate from Faculty Guide (Mentor) o Chapter -1 (Introduction of the Topic) o Chapter -2 (Profile of the Organization) o Chapter 3 (Research Methodology) Defining the Problem of the study Objective of the study Methodology (primary data, secondary data) Scope of the study Collection of data Limitation of the study etc. o Chapter- 4 (Analysis of data) o Chapter -5 (Findings, Conclusion and Suggestions) o Annexure Bibliography Questionnaire (if any)

2 The minimum length of the project report should be 80 pages. Font style should be Times New Roman with size 12 14, spacing as 1.5 and 1 inch margins on all sides. The project completion certificate from the Faculty Guide (Mentor) should be attached to all the copies of the report. Original certificate should be attached in the self copy of the student. The faculty guides have been nominated by the institution, they will help and advise the students about the methodology, the selection of relevant literature etc. They will contribute in assessing the performance of the student and will assess the reports. The students are advised to get in touch with their faculty guides immediately. The Reports should be spiral bound and the cover page should be yellow in color. The reports should not be copied from each other. The University of Rajasthan makes the case of cheating if any such practice is noticed by the external guide appointed by the university. All the students are advised to get their topic approved by their concerned Faculty Guide and get their rough drafted reports assessed from time to time as directed by their concerned faculties. The Final date of submission of the reports to the institutions will be announced soon. Students are advised to submit the final copy of project report within time. After the stipulated deadline, reports will not be accepted and the consequences would be solely the student s responsibility.
