4 What kinds of events do you cater? We cater events small & large, from birthday parties, weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, tenant & employee appreciation events to fire drills & any other kind of gathering. For larger events, ask about our scoop truck and other catering equipment. How long will you serve? We ll arrive 30 minutes prior to our scheduled start time. Service times typically run for one hour and then we clean up. Let us know if you need more time we re happy to accommodate when we can and will factor that in to our catering confirmation. Can you do an outdoor event? Absolutely! We re flexible about the serving setting. If you plan on having us serve your guests outdoors, we require the ice cream serving area to be covered from the elements (i.e. tent, covered porch, pavilion). We do have a tent available for an additional fee of $75.00 if you cannot provide appropriate covering. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream always draws a crowd. If we are in a public area, we don't always know who the invited guests are versus who's just walking up trying to get "free" ice cream. We ask that you please provide assistance if you plan to serve in a public area. Tickets work well for these situations. Ben & Jerry's will not withhold service to guests unless instructed to do so. Additional servings may impact your final invoice. What happens with the left-over ice cream? We always bring more ice cream then we serve. We typically bring enough products to serve an additional 20% of the guaranteed number of servings requested. We do NOT leave un-served ice cream with you at the end of the event. We do NOT do "All You Can Eat" events unless all the ice cream is prepurchased for your event. For planning purposes, each bulk container contains 2.5 gallons of ice cream and will provide approximately servings. We need to know what YOUR policy is on serving seconds, extra scoops, and portions to go, etc. before the event. Extra scoops and second servings will count towards your minimum guaranteed number of servings and may impact your invoice. Ben & Jerry's will not withhold service to your guests unless instructed to do so.
