2 2015 Canadian National Firefit Championships September 15 20, 2015 Kitchener, Ontario. Competitor Information Getting Here: Kitchener, Ontario is centrally located in Southwestern Ontario with a variety of International Airports servicing the area. Flights are available to and from Calgary, Kelowna and Chicago via Waterloo Region Airport which is a 5 minute drive to the competition site. Halifax, Fredericton, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver are available through Hamilton Airport which is a 45 minute drive from the site Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Winnipeg, Vancouver are available through London International Airport which is a 1 hour drive from the site. All major cities are available to and from Toronto s Pearson International which is a 1 hour drive from the site. Competition Site: The site for the 2015 National s is Moose Winooski s at Sportsworld Crossing located at 20 Heldmann Road, Kitchener Ontario. Located at the 401 and Highway 8. Host Hotel: The host hotel is the Crown Plaza, Kitchener. The hotel is located at the corner of King and Benton Street in the heart of downtown Kitchener. This is within walking distance of the official after party bar, Wax Nightclub. To book the hotel, go to the link on Firefit Website. Firefit rate is extended to August 17. Please note that there is a MAJOR Home Hardware Convention in town that weekend and hotel rooms are at a premium so please book early to avoid disappointment.

3 Parking: We will have parts of the main parking lot open for Merchant traffic and all Firefit Competitors MUST park at the arena lot behind the Reebok building. The mall will have by-law on site monitoring a 2 hour parking limit and will issue tickets. The Merchants have been very accommodating in allowing us to use a great portion of the parking lot, so please be respectful of the need to keep premium parking spots available for their clients. Team Canopy Areas: As many of our teams will be coming in by air, we are offering a special canopy team package that will consist of the following for Saturday and Sunday; 10x10 Canopy 1 8 Banquet Table 4 Chairs 1 Cooler Ice service throughout both days 1 case of water 12 PowerAde Beverages 4 towels Parking space at the tent for 1 vehicle We have a limited number (12) spots for this special reserved area which will be directly behind the tower. Each spot is available for $300 each for the weekend. These spots will become available the day of competition only if they are not pre-booked. Please note, this is only for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Team spots earlier in the week will be first come, first served. 4 Team Canopy Areas: cont. As we will have additional bleachers as well as merchants and displays set up in areas previously used for team canopies, there will be limited spots for Teams to set up near the competition tower due to parking and fire route requirements. There will be areas for team tent sent up across the road on the central paved area. All Team set up areas will be clearly marked and anyone setting up outside of these areas will be asked to remove their equipment and move it to approved areas. Gear Drop Off: There will be a gate to the right of the tower where vehicles can pull up to in order to drop gear Friday Sunday. Vehicles are asked to quickly unload and move their vehicles to approved parking areas to keep traffic moving quickly. Alcoholic Beverages: Please be advised that the entire Firefit area will be a licensed area and subject to Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Regulations. This means ONLY BEVERAGE ALCOHOL PURCHASED WITHIN THE AREA will be allowed. You may not bring beverage alcohol into the competitor s area or the Team Canopy areas on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We anticipate AGCO Inspectors to be present throughout the weekend, and they will be looking for infractions of alcohol being brought in. As a result, there will be a zero tolerance for outside beverage alcohol and if you are found to be in possession of illegal beverage, it will be confiscated and you and your possessions will be removed from the licensed area. Foodservices: Foodservice will be available within the competition area offering hot dogs, sausages, pulled pork and other fast food items. All competitors will also receive a 15% discount card for food purchases at Moose Winooski s both for eat in and take out foods. Full menu is available to view at

5 Awards Banquet: The Awards Banquet will be held at Moose Winooski s sister Restaurant, del s Enoteca located at 2980 King Street East at the corner of King and Fairway in Kitchener. Tickets for the Awards Banquet area available for $50.00 each which includes a full Marche style dinner featuring fresh made Pastas, hand stretched Pizza, Roast Prime Rib, Shrimp, Oyster Bar, Salads, Potato, Vegetables, Desserts, a glass of Ontario VQA Wine and so much more for dinner as well as shuttle service to and from the Crowne Plaza. Pre purchase price is valid until September 11 and after September 11, ticket price will be $ Tickets can be purchased by ing firefit@moosewinooskis.com. SEATING IS LIMITED TO 250 PEOPLE. TICKETS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED AND WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL MORE THAN THE ALOTTED 250 TICKETS. Shuttles will run from the host hotel (Crown Plaza Kitchener) beginning at 6:00 PM to del s Enoteca. Shuttles will run beginning at 6:00 pm and running every 10 minutes with the final shuttle leaving at 7:00 PM. Shuttles will begin running from del s Enoteca back to the host hotel beginning at 9:30 pm and running every 10 minutes until 10:30 pm. Shuttles will stop first at Crown Plaza and then will continue to the after party site, WAX Nightclub in downtown Kitchener. The WAX is 3 blocks from Crown Plaza.
