7 Holiday Traditions HANUKKAH MENORAH LIGHTING SUNDAY, DECEMBER 2 SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 6:00 PM Join us in the Residences Lobby as we celebrate the Festival of Lights with the sacred lighting of the Menorah every evening of Hanukkah during this eight-day celebration. Enjoy complimentary cookies and cider while we sing and play dreidel games. On the last night of Hanukkah, we will hold a community celebration in Piney at 6:00 PM. Our local Rabbi will be there to light the menorah and say the blessing. Open to everyone. These state-of-the-art lockers have been imported from Switzerland and feature a system that air-dries boots and gear. Our Forbes Five-Star Spa at Four Seasons offers the opportunity to relax, renew and restore well-being. Bring your kids to WhoVail, located on Level 5, to meet Santa for photos and last-minute gift requests. Elf on the shelf DECEMBER WHOVAIL Visit our life-size, Dr. Seuss Whoville-inspired gingerbread house, located inside Bean & Gone. The structure's detail and pattern work, along with the colorful gingerbread tiles, provides endless enjoyment for all. Our Elf on the Shelf will keep a watchful eye over all the kids. Each night once everyone has gone to bed, our Elf will fly to the North Pole and report back to Santa on all the activities that have taken place throughout the day. Before the kids wake up each morning, the Elf will rejoin us at the Resort and hide in a new location. Find him and post a selfie on Instagram or Facebook, Show the Front Desk to receive a little treat. 10 WITH THE Vail Tree Lighting Ceremony SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16 5:00 PM FEEL PART OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY TAKING PART IN THESE POPULAR HOLIDAY TRADITIONS IN THE TOWN OF VAIL. The Twelfth Annual Vail Winterfest Ice Theater SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23 AT 5:45 PM Join the merriment and celebrate the coolest outdoor ice theater. This free and family-friendly cinematic experience will kick off with the holiday favorite, How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Sunday, December 23. Then visit Gore Creek nightly at dusk to watch other holiday favorites on the ice screen. Bring the whole family to Silfer Plaza by the Covered Bridge for an evening of holiday celebrations. The evening begins with a holiday stage program including a-cappella entertainment and an appearance by Vail s mayor, as well as special guests. The highlight is the lighting of the holiday tree. Holiday Lantern Walk SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23 4:30 PM Falling near the winter solstice, enjoy this joyful community gathering and celebration of light. The short, jolly procession through Vail Village will include illuminated lanterns and live music, as your wind through to the Gore Creek Promenade. Make a lantern earlier in the day at the Vail Public Library at 1:00 PM. Torchlight Parade and Fireworks MONDAY, DECEMBER 31 6:15 PM This magical event is a Vail tradition on New Year s Eve. Come to the base of Golden Peak to watch a torchlight parade, as skiers form a glowing train as they ski down the mountain. Fireworks will light up the sky directly after the parade
