1 ECM 2019 Newsletter 1. Dear ECC members, We welcome all ECC members owning a Cobra, or Cobra related car, such as: Daytona Coupe or GT40, to take part in the ECM 2019 Event. We hope that you all will support the 2019 ECM Event here in Denmark and allow the ECM 2019 team to give you an experience to enjoy and remember. As informed in the initial announcement letter the 2019 ECM event will be held at Vingsted Hotel & Congress Center from August 14 th to August 18 th In the first newsletter, we have outlined some important information in relation to the registration form and secondly we have listed our preliminary program for the Event. As soon as we have more details, especially more detailed descriptions of the daily trips we will post this on the ECC forum. The registration form - You will find the registration form on the ECC forum website in the ECM 2019 folder. - The excel file contains a registration form in English, German and French, allowing you to register in the language of your choice. - The GREY marked areas need to be completed and a drop down menu will explain what you need to fill in to complete your choice. - We ask that you complete the whole registration form so that we can see the number of participants, your participation in the daily trips and accommodation period at the hotel. - After completing the registration for please save it and then it to: stighorsens@gmail.com - The registration form is split into two sections. - The first section relates to the Event details: o The Event registration details that we need for registration. o Please choose the daily trips you will take participate in. o Please choose if you would like to purchase a T-Shirt or/-and Baseball Cap. Remember to choose the required size. o The form calculates the total cost for your participation in the Event. This is to allow you to transfer the correct Event Fee. o Please note that in case of cancellation of your participation after the stated deadline, a refund of General Event Fee per Car and Cost for T-Shirt & Baseball Cap if ordered, as such is non-refundable. This because those parts of the event cost

2 are not specific to the daily trips but related to other cost areas of organizing the ECM 2019 event and the fact that we need to order T-Shirt and Baseball caps in advance. o For the different daily trips, we have flexibility and a refund may be possible. Any cost relating to managing the refund, such as bank transfer fees and other cost are subtracted from the refunded amount. o Payment details for transfer of the Event Fee can be found on the registration form. o Deadline for transfer of the Event fee to the ECM 2019 account is May 1 st The second section relates to accommodation: o The accommodation is at Vingsted Hotel & Congress Center. We have pre-booked a number of rooms so that all participants can stay at the same hotel. Vingsted Hotel has a big room capacity and is a hotel of a good standard. Vingsted Hotel host very big events, so they will take very good care of all participants. o You have a choice of single or double/twin room accommodation and can choose the days you need accommodation. o The cost for hotel accommodation during the Event days includes Breakfast and Dinner buffet in the evening. o For Participants who need accommodation outside the Event days, room rates are noted on the registration form. These room rates only include breakfast. o Reservation of accommodation can be done via phone (+45) or INFO@vingsted.dk. o Please use Booking code ECM 2019 when you reserve accommodation. o Reservation of accommodation is recommended before February 28 th 2019 and will guarantee your room. Reservation after February 28 th 2019 will be dependent upon rooms being available. o Payment of your accommodation will be directly to the hotel and is due upon arrival. Please DO NOT transfer payment for hotel to the ECM 2019 account. o All major credit cards are accepted to pay for hotel accommodation. - General details: o Parking will be outside in a dedicated area. Unfortunately, the hotel cannot offer underground parking. o There will be an area to park cars and trailer for those who tow their vehicle to the Event. Please let us know if you will be towing your vehicle to the Event. o We are currently looking into whether we can offer camping for a few participants. This option is still pending confirmation of availability. We do strongly recommend that all participants stay at Vingsted Hotel. If the provision of a small number of camping spaces proves to be an option, we will post information on the ECC forum.

4 ECM 2019 Preliminary Event Program. Wednesday August 14 th Arrival day. - Arrival during the day at Vingsted Hotel. - Follow ECM Parking signs to dedicated ECM Parking Area. - 19:30 - Welcome Dinner at the hotel. - Fun in the hotel bar for those who have excess energy. Thursday August 15 th Southern Denmark/-Vest coast tour 218 km. - 9:30 - Departure Vingsted Hotel for a drive to the island named Rømø. - 12:00 - Coffee Break on the famous Beach on Rømø. - Short drive to the town of Ribe. Ribe is one of the oldest cities in Denmark and has a very cozy atmosphere perfectly experienced when walking around the town center. - 14:00 - Lunch buffet at Hotel Dagmar in Ribe. Hotel Dagmar is the Oldest Inn in Denmark and situated just beside the famous cathedral in Ribe. - Find your way back to Vingsted - Welcome to late arrivals - 19:30 - Grill buffet in a tent at Vingsted Hotel. - Enjoy the hotel bar until bedtime. Trip fee of 250, - DKK (33,5 EUR) per Participant includes Coffee/Tee & Cake on Rømø Island and Lunch in Ribe including 1 beverage. Friday August 16 th Tour around the island Fyn 290 km. - 8:30 Departure from Vingsted for a drive to the island named Fyn. - 10:00 12:00 Coffee stop at the famous Car museum named Strøjer Samlingen. The car museum has a unique collection of vintage/-specialty cars and a guide will give a speech about the history/- car collection of the museum. - Drive around Fyn to the Castle named Egeskov. Egeskov is an old scenic castle and you get to enjoy the inside of castle itself, the beautiful flower park with a Labyrinth as well as a small museum of cars & motorbikes. - 14:00 Lunch bag at Egeskov Castle. - Spend the time you like at Egeskov Castle and find your way back to Vingsted - 19:30 Dinner buffet at the hotel. - Enjoy the hotel bar until bedtime. Trip fee of 515,- DKK (69,1 EUR) per Participant includes : Admission ticket to Strøjer Car Museum, Coffee/Tee & Cake, admission ticket to Egeskov Castle, Lunch bag at Egeskov Castle. Drinks at lunch separately

5 Saturday August 17 th Main Jutland & Mountain Tour 240 km. - 8:30 Departure from Vingsted for a drive to the second highest point in Denmark named Himmelbjerget (translated = mountain to heaven). However, do not worry about mountain climbing, it s only 147 meters at the highest point. - 12:00 Lunch buffet at the restaurant named Hotel Julsø. This restaurant is beautifully situated at the lakeside of Julsø. From the lakeside, you can walk up to the mountaintop and explore the scenic view overlooking several lakes. - 15:00 - Drive to the town named Silkeborg where we will park in the town center and have a coffee break on the town square. Silkeborg is a city surrounded by lakes and you can see an old paddle steamboat touring one of the lakes. - Find your way back to Vingsted - 19:30 Dinner buffet at the hotel. - Sum up of the 2019 event and ECC board announcement of the 2020 ECM organizer. - Enjoy the hotel bar until bedtime. Trip fee of 250, - DKK (33,5 EUR) per Participant includes Lunch at restaurant Julsø (Drinks at lunch need to be paid for separately). Coffee/Tea & Cake in Silkeborg. Sunday August 18 th Short Tour day 64 km (one-way). - 9:30 Group photo session on big lawn at Vingsted hotel - 10:00 Farewell to participants leaving on Sunday morning. - 13:00 Departure for a short drive to Gram Castle. - 14:00 Traditional Danish coffee table called Sønderjysk Kaffebord consisting of coffee/tea and 21 different cakes/cookies. You will not leave Gram Castle hungry. - 15:30 - Official end of the 2019 ECM event will be at Gram Castle. - Depending on your plans from here, a drive back to Vingsted or finding your way back home or continue your vacation in Denmark. Trip fee of 160, - DKK (21,5 EUR) per Participant includes Coffee/Tea & a choice of 21 different Cakes at Gram Castle. The outlined program is preliminary and minor changes may occur. We know we cannot show you Denmark in a few days, but we hope that the ECM event program will give you all an experience you will enjoy and remember.

6 Should you decide to explore more of Denmark we have included a list of different links, both for some of the attractions you will see during the ECM event as well as attractions to explore on your own. If you plan to continue your vacation in Denmark after the ECM event we can, if there is an interest, plan a post Event tour to take place on Monday August 19 th. We are currently thinking of a tour to the northern part of Jutland. If you would be interested in participating in the Post Event Tour, please let us know by when you send the registration form.
