1 TuÉâà ÉâÜ xäxçà The North Delta Food and Wine Festival is a premier food and wine event making its debut in October, It is an event unlike any other in the region and will attract food and wine lovers who gather in Monroe to enjoy the best the region has to offer. The main event is a three hour tasting extravaganza on Friday at which visitors meander through displays and booths at Bayou Landing set against the lush backdrop of scenic Bayou DeSiard. Other events offered in conjunction with the main event include a Saturday morning 5K Dash & Dine / Walk & Wobble featuring stops along the way for Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers. The evening hours feature our Celebrated Chefs pairing with chefs at some of Monroe s finest dining spots to offer exceptional multi dinners paired with fine wine offerings. Finish off the weekend with a brunch featuring Southern Fried Chicken and champagne. The entire affair is made possible through the generosity of area sponsors, restaurants, wine vendors, expert presenters and patrons. A group of community volunteers make this event possible through their tireless work and dedication to celebrating life in Northeast Louisiana through the community outreach programs of the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. Chef Cory Bahr, owner of restaurants Cotton and Nonna and recently named 2015 People's Best New Chef by Food and Wine magazine, will serve as emcee for the 2nd Annual Rare Culinary Collaboration of award winning chefs at this culinary arts extravaganza to benefit the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. 2 Chef s Party hosted by Chef Cory Bahr at Nonna Friday, October 9 9:15 pm Continue the night after a Rare Culinary Collaboration at Nonna. Admission to the Chef s party is included with your wristband for a Rare Culinary Collaboration Dash & Dine / Walk & Wobble 5K Saturday, October 10 8 am to 10 am Join us for a timed 5K run/walk through downtown Monroe! There will water, bloody marys and screwdrivers along the race route. Various food vendors will be set up for participants to enjoy at the conclusion of the race. Must be 21 to enjoy cocktails IDs checked at race check in. Saturday, October 10 7:30 pm Rare Culinary Collaborations at different venues across the area. Celebrated Chefs will pair with a few local restaurants and venues to offer exceptional meals paired with fine wine offerings. 3 NORTHEAST LOUISIANA ARTS COUNCIL AND THE NORTH DELTA FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL PRESENT THE INAUGURAL DASH & 2015 D I E N walk & w b o b l e A 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. The Arts Council, founded and incorporated in 1979, was established as the vehicle to provide an eleven-parish area with coordination and programming services for the Arts. This 5K, as part of the North Delta Food & Wine Festival (#northdeltafood), will consist of a manually timed run/walk with libations across the Ouachita River and through Downtown Monroe & West Monroe. The Start line will be at the Warehouse No.1 Restaurant, with drink stations along the course at Doe's Eat Place, River & Rail Cantina, and Trapp s. The finish line will be at the Warehouse No.1 where there will be live music along with a variety of food & drinks.
