1 SMG VENDOR SAMPLING AGREEMENT SAVOR Catering by SMG/ SMG Food and Beverage, LLC is the exclusive food and beverage provider for both concessions and catering at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. SMG Food and Beverage, LLC reserves the right to sell, at its discretion, food and beverage, including alcohol, in any unused space within the facility for this purpose. No food and beverage may be sold/served in the event areas except by special permission and agreement with SMG Food and Beverage, LLC. SMG Food and Beverage, LLC holds the liquor license for this facility and no other license is permitted. Only SMG Food and Beverage, LLC will provide LEAD certified service of alcohol, and labor fees may apply. This waiver will serve as an agreement between SMG Food and Beverage, LLC and the client, for the purpose of permitting stated items to be allowed in to the Convention Center. The items approved are listed below and are specific to this agreement. No other items will be permitted for service, sales or distribution except those agreed to by the undersigned. Furthermore this document makes no provision for receiving, storage or transport of product or equipment related to the preparation and/or consumption of these items. SMG Food and Beverage, LLC assumes no responsibility for, or liability of, any product sold or services rendered by the client. OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE TERMS: Exhibitor Samples 1. Food sampling shall be limited to bite sized portions not to exceed 1 oz. per sample. 2. TEMPORARY FOOD BOOTHS AND/OR FOOD SAMPLING INVOLVING PREPARATION: A copy of Long Beach Health Permit is required along with the signed Agreement. You may contact Claro Rufo at (562) to obtain a temporary health permit for this event. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS REQUIRED FROM ALL EXHIBITORS THAT WILL BE DISTRIBUTING FOOD SAMPLES IN AN EVENT OR SHOW THAT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. 3. Non-alcoholic beverages sample size is 2 oz. and can be served in a cup no larger than 4 oz. Full bottles of product are strictly prohibited. 4. Alcoholic beverage sampling sizes must not exceed ¼ ounce for spirits (liquor or liquors), or 1 ounce for beer and wine. No corkage fees will apply to exhibitors that are providing samples of their own alcohol products in their own exhibit booth. 5. A SAVOR Bartender is required to serve and pour all alcoholic beverage products from the exhibitor booth. The labor fee is $37.50 per hour with a 4 hour minimum charge per day ($ minimum). All hours over eight (8) per day will be billed at 1.5 times the regular rate. You may contact our Catering Department at (562) to make arrangements. Please note that signing this Agreement is not valid without confirmation to have a SAVOR Bartender at your booth on the day of event. 6. All exhibitors must be sampling products only that are related to their normal line of business to the attendees of the trade show, and adhering to the ABC and Long Beach Health Department sampling guidelines. 7. No set ups are included. Each exhibitor may order ice, bins, cups, paper or other supplies from SAVOR separately if needed. 8. All signed documents and payments are due no later than ten (10) days prior to the show. A credit card will be required to be provided for any on-site additions. SMG Food and Beverage, LLC hereby agrees to allow at Booth # to bring in sample sized food and equipment as stated below, procured from an outside source for the exclusive purpose promoting merchandise during the officially recognized tradeshow hours of the United Grocers event as contracted with the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. 2 warrants that this service does not conflict in any way with the rights and objectives of the United Grocers event and that United Grocers has approved this service. SMG Food and Beverage, LLC retains all other rights as exclusive caterer of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. SAMPLE ITEMS AND DESCRIPTION: ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS: Please consult show decorators regarding your electrical requirements associated with your equipment. HOLD HARMLESS INDEMNIFICATION: agrees to indemnify, defend and hold SMG Food and Beverage, LLC harmless against all claims, actions or causes of action, liabilities, including attorney's fees and costs arising from the defense of any claim, action, cause of action or liabilities arising out of or resulting from any act taken or committed by pursuant to performance of each party's obligations hereunder.
