The Group was founded in 1989 by trail-blazing Australian entrepreneur Michelle Garnaut the signature M with the opening of M at the Fringe in Hong Kong ( ). The M collection currently comprises M on the Bund restaurant in Shanghai, Glam lounge dining & bar in Shanghai and Capital M restaurant and bar in Beijing. MICHELLE GARNAUT Melbourne-born Michelle Garnaut is a restaurateur (and former cook) with a culinary career that spans three decades, several continents and positions that have ranged from dishwasher to waitress to chef to caterer and proprietor. Over the past 25 years, Michelle has opened a multitude of restaurants and a bar in China. Each became an icon in its city, sharing the characteristics that make it an M restaurant: simply good food Michelle s brand of delicious modern European cooking stylish yet comfortable decor, superb, warm service and a real sense of place.

3 Location Located on Qianmen Street, Beijing's most celebrated shopping street for over 600 years, Capital M is perfectly positioned for a breathtaking view of the city's heart. Whether from our terrace or our gorgeous, award-winning interior, diners enjoy a view that unfolds from the Forbidden City to Qianmen Gate, including Tian'anmen Square.

5 Garden Room The Garden Room offers floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the historic gates of old Beijing and our terrace gardens, direct access to the front terrace (and view) and cosy fireplaces in the winter. A lounge area can also be set up within this space to enjoy pre- and post-dinner drinks. The Garden Room holds up to 46 people for a sit down

7 Silver Room The lovely Silver Room is an ideal spot for a corporate dinner, intimate wedding, birthday lunch or press event. The room itself is a work of art, featuring a custom handpainted mural, hand-carved ceiling and gold-leaf pillars. With complete privacy, its adjacent terrace offers a breathtaking view over Beijing s ancient gates, ideal for guests to enjoy pre-dinner drinks while gazing at a quintessentially Beijing sight. The Silver Room holds up to 70 people for a sit-down dinner and 150 people standing for a cocktail event.

9 Circle Terrace The Circle Terrace offers spectacular al fresco dining against the backdrop of ancient, bustling Qianmen Street, Beijing s oldest shopping street. Seated amongst the foliage of our garden, up to 40 people can enjoy a seated dinner, or up to 80 people standing for cocktails or pre-dinner drinks.
