3 About Our Community... Total Population - 25,000 Children enrolled in Public Schools - 3,707 61% of all Hastings Public School children qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch Only one school in the District s Free/Reduced Lunch rate in less that 50%

Started in 1998 by the YWCA of Adams County Completely free and open to any Hastings area middle or high school children every day after school Offers Homework Tutoring, Nutrition and Cooking Classes, Life Skills Lessons, Science & Art Projects, Intramural Sports, Teen Outreach, Community Service Projects, and special events Serves students each day during the school year 2017 Recipient of the USDA s Silver Turnip the Beet Award
