Fellow Members, It s hard to believe Thanksgiving is less than a month away. Reflecting on this past year, we have much to be thankful for. I am thankful for our thoughtful and caring staff and management team who make the club such a special place in our community. I am thankful for our volunteer board and committee members who help manage and promote our club. I am thankful for the loyal members who contribute their time, labor and money to continue to improve our facilities over and above what the club s normal operating budget will allow. And, I am also thankful for all the great memories I have at the club. Let the club help you plan your next event or celebration and make your own special memories with family and friends. As always, please let us know if we can do anything to improve your experience at the club. We welcome your ideas, thoughts and concerns. Rod Isaacs Board President
3 Clubhouse News I hope everyone with children enjoyed their fall break last month. Just a few more weeks of school and you guessed it, Christmas break will be upon us! It is hard to believe how quickly the year has gone by, and that the holidays are just around the corner. The new menu has been well received by everyone so far. If you haven t been in since it started, I hope you will make plans to come soon and discover your new favorite. If you have enjoyed one of the new entrees, there are several so be sure to try them all! There are two Friday nights that will feature entertainment this month. On the 10th we will have the Fall Music Lounge in the bar, with soft seating, music and dancing. A special bar food menu will be available, and the full menu will be available in the dining room. There is a $10 per person entertainment fee for this event. Then on Friday night the 17th Tim Kellar returns to the bar with his entertaining style of music, and the dinner special will be prime rib. Tim has played here many times, and is always enjoyed by all, so please make plans to join your friends for one or both nights of entertainment, food and comradery. Join us for the annual Thanksgiving Buffet served 11 am until 2 pm in the ballroom. There will be a hearty offering of a variety of foods, and as I always say, cleanup will be a breeze! Bring the family out and join us for this delicious buffet by making reservations at This is the only food service available on this day, and the clubhouse will close at 3:00 pm in order for the employees to enjoy time with their families. There are still some weekday dates available for Christmas parties here at the Club if you or anyone you know is interested in having a gathering during the holidays. Call Bri and let her help you plan the perfect event for friends, family or the office. I wish for everyone a warm and enjoyable Thanksgiving with family and friends; the ones we should be the most thankful for. Wally 4245
4 Pro s Info Upcoming Events November 11th & 12th TCC Fall 2-Man Scramble December 1st CHRISTMAS PARTY 5:00-8:00 December 9th Frozen 1-Man Scramble Membership: I would like to thank everyone for their participation in both the member and outside events we have hosted this year at The Country Club. The course has stayed busy with events this summer and I hope everyone continues to utilize our great golf course and bring out guests to enjoy it as well. The TCC Fall 2-Man Scramble open to both members and guests has been rescheduled for November 11th and 12th. I hope everyone can play that weekend as well as share the event info with friends! The Frozen 1-Man Scramble event last year was a great success and will take place again this year on December 9th. The fall merchandise has been selling well so far this year and I hope everyone will stop by the pro shop and pick up their cool weather gear. We have some great sweaters, UT Apparel along with other outerwear pieces to fit your needs. There are also some great sales on the summer merchandise but do not delay because sizes are limited. (S/S Shirts, Shoes, Etc.) The 2018 Golf Schedule will be coming soon along with an early sign up for next year s Langford Cup and TCC Member-Guest. Reminder that we do not charge for the BUYERS CLUB any longer! All pro shop items have a retail price listed on them and ALL MEMBERS receive a discount off of that price. I hope all members and guests continue to support their pro shop! PRO SHOP HOURS: Beginning Monday, November 6th once we switch back to Standard Time the pro shop will be closed on Mondays similar to the clubhouse. Monday, March 12th 2018 we will open again on Mondays. I look forward to a busy and beautiful fall and I hope to see everyone at the club. Thank you,
