Boggo Road Jail is a licensed event venue - one of the most unique places in Brisbane to hold your special event, birthday or function. The former prison is heritage-listed and an important historic site. Holding an event here is a special and amazing experience. To protect the heritage site, everything is setup every time especially for your event - tables, chairs, bar, and cooking facilities - using licensed caterers - keeping the prison is as it was when it officially closed 25 years ago - a time capsule of the past. Boggo will create a lasting memory for your guests as it did for Her (and His) Majesty s guests. The Jail can host events from guests. The Jail is not comparable to a local hall, pub or hotel. Many hotels and pubs offer room hire or a discounted event space. They also require minimum spending on food and drinks - usually $ $1500. They do not offer BYO. Halls are another option for many people, however you will be required to pay a bond, organise chairs, tables, cutlery, catering, drinks, tablecloths, cleaning and security. Our Jail Package is all-inclusive. You do not have to do anything except turn up and have an unforgettable experience. Other historic venues to consider for your event include Newstead House, Old Museum at Bowen Hills, Customs House, City Hall. Boggo Road is a very reasonably priced historic experience.

3 Group Sizes Groups from 40 pax up to 100 pax Celebrating a birthday or anniversary with a small group of friends and family? Dine, party or catch up in one of the original cellblocks or the atmospheric gatehouse, an authentic prison yard or for large groups, the Circle in the centre of the Jail, surrounded by the towering cellblocks. Our Jail Package for $69.95pp includes as standard, a delicious two-course BBQ prepared and cooked onsite. All the extras - dining tables, chairs, tablecloths, cutlery, security, cleaning and amenities - are inclusive. A 30 minute guided tour of the gaol for all guests is included. Available for Christmas functions in November and December is our all-inclusive Christmas Jail Package for $79.95pp. This includes as standard - a 30 minute guided tour of the gaol, souvenir Gaol Key (a replica of the key to iconic No. 3 Tower, seen from Annerley Road) for each guest, a delicious two-course BBQ prepared and cooked onsite. All the extras - dining tables, chairs, tablecloths, cutlery, security, cleaning and amenities - are included. We can include Jail postcards for $1pp for you to post out to your invitees to join you inside - all you have to do is choose the date for your event. Your group will be allocated a cellblock, gatehouse or the Circle - based on the number of people - and depending on availability. Our fully staffed and licensed on-site bar supplies a wide variety of beer, wine and spirits - at very reasonable prices. If you have a budget in mind, a cash bar or on-consumption bar is available. Groups of 100 ~ 200 pax Exclusive hire of Boggo Road Jail for your event can be arranged for groups of 100 persons or more. Bespoke events - can also be organised for groups of 100 persons or more. Boggo Road Jail can accommodate up to 200 guests and can offer catering services and packages to truly make it memorable. 10 Bespoke Events ~ External catering / BYO /alcohol service Wanting create your own amazing event in a unique location? We can organise a Bespoke Boggo Road Event for you. Have your own preferred caterer, want to organise your own drinks/ alcohol service? Minimum bookings of 40 or more can organise their own external catering, BYO or alcohol service. July to October Single Location Hire persons Exclusive Gaol Hire persons Christmas - November / December (minimum 100 persons) Single Location Hire persons $18.50pp - $25.00pp (depending on location) P.O.A. $25.00pp - $35.00pp (depending on location) Our price per person includes 4 hour jail hire, external catering/ BYO /alcohol service fee. Remember - we offer packages that include tours, catering, tables, chairs etc.a Bond is required for all Bespoke Boggo Road Events ($250 non-commercial hirers / $500 commercial hirers). Insurance All events require public liability of $20 million coverage. Security Security is required for all events where alcohol is to be consumed.if you are not serving alcohol, security is not required. Security is organised by the Jail Event Coordinator and must be Jail supplied security. Own professional security cannot be arranged. Rates - $99 per hour. 1 x security guard required for every 75 guests. For events of x security guard for every 50 guests is required. Extras Chairs for Hire - $2.00 per chair Marquee - from $350 Tables for Hire - $12.00 per table Tablecloth - P.O.A. Bump In / Bump Out Event hire includes two 1 hour drop-offs prior to your event and 1 hour setup prior to the commencement of event. Additional Bump in/ Bump out time may be able to be organised - rates of $145 per hour for additional time. Vehicles may enter the Gaol to drop off equipment, but must vacate the site prior to the start time of the event. Cleaning Fees / Toilets A cleaning fee is charged for all bespoke events. $75 per hour 2 hours minimum. Extra toilets for groups of more than 100 persons must be organised at cost of hirer.
