Make check payable to City of Azusa Los Angeles International Airport/ Flight Path Learning Center Museum Thursday, Feb 23 Fee: $32.00 Leave: 8:30 a.m. Return: 4:00 p.m. Today we drive to L.A. and have a rare opportunity to tour the Los Angeles International Airport at the Flight Path Learning Center Museum. The museum features model airplanes, photographs, airline uniforms and other memorabilia. Through the windows that look out onto the runways at LAX, we can watch airplanes take off and land as they listen to the air traffic controllers in the tower. We will also watch a film about the history of Los Angles World Airports. Next, we will travel to Clifton s for lunch (included) where you will have a choice of entrees with side dishes, desserts, and a beverage. And last, we will visit Hollyhock House at Barnsdall designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and considered to be his finest work. Highlights of the house include Mayan-influenced stone carvings throughout the exterior and interior, stained glass, special designed furniture by Wright and more. Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Wednesday, Mar 14 Fee: $10.00 Leave: 8:30 a.m. Return: 6:30 p.m. Spend the day at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio; check in will be at 10 am. Celebrating Our 25th Anniversary, A Year of Adventures! 11 Fantasy Springs Casino Cont. Upon arriving, everyone will receive with their players card a free $15 coin coupon to redeem in the casino. This is a 6 hour stay. Getty Villa Museum & Lunch at Paradise Cove in Malibu Thursday, Mar 29 Fee: $45.00 Leave: 9:30 a.m. Return: 5:30 p.m. Spend the day at the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades. This is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of arts and cultures of Ancient Rome, Greece, and Etruria. Features include Roman-inspired architecture and gardens, antiques, paintings, sculptures, theater and a Trojan War story. Lunch is included prior to our arrival at the museum at the Paradise Cove in Malibu. At time of registration please choose: An angus burger, fried fish sandwich or a char-broiled chicken sandwich. All entrees come with coleslaw, a nonalcoholic beverage, and dessert.

Call (626) Advance reservations are forfeited at 11:45 am. Late arrivals will be added to the waiting list. If you make a reservation for a Monday, be sure to check in before 11:15 or you will forfeit your lunch reservation. All adults 60 years and older and their spouses are welcome to have lunch. The suggested donation is $1.85 per meal. Guests years shall pay $3.00 per meal. This program is funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act as amended by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging. All meals are served with milk, bread and margarine. Transportation is available to Azusa residents from Azusa Dial-a-Ride. Enjoy a choice of Salmon, a Petite New York Steak, roast chicken or a pork chop. All meals served with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetable, rolls a nonalcoholic beverage & ice cream for dessert; please select upon registration. Then, we begin our afternoon with a visit at the Skirball Cultural Center. The museum explores the history of the Jewish people and has a core exhibition Vision & Values: Jewish Antiquity to America. San Diego Wild Animal Park Tuesday, Apr 24 Fee: $64.00 Leave: 8:30 a.m. Return: 5:30 p.m. At approx. 10:30 am we will arrive at the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido (admission included) home to more than 3,200 animals including elephants, tiger, rhinos, as 400 species roam freely over the Condor Ridge. Your admission includes the Journey into Africa tram ride. This is a 25 min. tram ride that covers 2.5 miles and brings you eye to eye with animals in the large African field exhibit. Lunch will be on your own today in Nairobi Village. Remember to dress comfortably and wear walking shoes! 12 Spend the Day in Santa Barbara Wednesday, May 9 Fee: $27.00 Leave: 8:00 a.m. Return: 7:00 p.m. Enjoy your day today in beautiful Santa Barbara! You will have plenty of leisure time on your own today for lunch, sight seeing, and shopping in downtown Santa Barbara and Stearns Warf. A great mini get-away! The Azusa Senior Center Walking Club Who: All Seniors, Ages 55 and over. This is a very active activity; wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Also, please bring a bottle of water. During this wonderful time of the year, we reflect on how fortunate we are to be able to share such memorable times with all of our seniors in such a great place. You truly bring such joy to our center, and for that, we are very grateful. You are all very Special! As we reflect on this past year, we think of those special friendships, the wonderful people that we serve, the many laughs and smiles that we share with you, and the many volunteers that make our programs happen, and it is so evident that the Azusa Senior Center is a great place to be part of. Thank you so much for spending your time with us and for being part of our Azusa Senior Center Family. Because of everyone s very important contributions, we are very excited to have been given the 2011 Distinguished Site Award by Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging. All of you play such an important role in making our place so wonderful! As 2012 quickly approaches, we look forward to celebrating the 25 th Anniversary of the Azusa Senior Center with you, as we pay tribute to a place that is so important to all of us. He has served as President of our Nutrition Site Council, is on the Bingo Committee and also serves as Vice-President of the Advisory Council. He is a busy man, but manages his time very well! He makes time for his beautiful young daughters and for others here at our center. He is a generous and well liked person. Thanks, Chuck. For all your help and input. Beware of Scams! VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Mary Valenzuela has been very active at our center in the last few years. She is currently treasurer of the Nutrition Site Council and is doing a great job managing the funds. She works on our coffee corner and bakes delicious sugar free desserts for the customers. Mary is also a member of the Golden Age Club. She enjoys bowling and making trips to the casinos. Mary is a long time Azusa resident and knows almost everyone!.
