1 KDS (Where Applicable) Today you will review KDS. Refer to the KDS Guide. Make sure that all team members have the proper tools needed for training today. KDS Guide ALOHA Pre-Shift Meetings Review Bump Bar functionality o Bump Cell 1 - Bumps the first order o Bump Cell 2 - Bumps the second order o Highlight any order that is ready and select Bump o To Unbump the last order, select Undo Last Explain that when an order is flagged ready they will tray the order, bump the order, and run it. Ask a team member to demonstrate traying an order and then bumping the order on the KDS _

2 End of Shift: Run Server Report Today you will review End of Shift functions and running your Server Report. Make sure that all team members have the proper tools needed for training today. Transfer of any open tables o Remind them that if they transfer a table, they must inform the individual they are transferring to and have that person except it. o They cannot run their report until the individual they transferred table to accepts it. Take server report to a manager to be checked out. _

3 Selecting Proper Sub Menu Today review Selecting Sub Menu. Make sure that all team members have the proper tools needed for training today. 5 Splitting An Item, Seat, and Check Today you will review Splitting Item, Seat, and Check. Refer to pages in Guide To ALOHA POS Server, Carry Out Specialist. Make sure that all team members have the proper tools needed for training today. Explain that splitting checks, seats, and items will be done on the POS Terminal once the order has been sent to the kitchen. Ask a team member to show the group how to split checks Ask a team member to show the group how to split seats Ask a team member to show the group how to split items _

6 Transferring Tables and Accepting Transferred Tables Today you will review Transferring a Table, Check, or Seat. Refer to pages in Guide To ALOHA POS Server, Carry Out Specialist. Make sure that all team members have a copy of Explain when they would transfer a table: Transferring Tables will need to be done when they have guests who have not completed their dining experience and they are sent on break or sent home for the day. Remind servers that when they are ready to transfer a table they must have the server who they are transferring it to with them to accept the transfer. Once that is complete and the new server has accepted the table then they will introduce the new server to the guests at the table. Let them know you are leaving and their new server will be taking care of them. Ask a team member to show the group how to transfer a table Ask a team member how to accept a transferred table Fill in Any Additional Topics to Discuss _

7 Combining Separate Checks at Same Table and Different Tables Today you will review Combining Checks at the Same Table and at Different Tables. Refer to pages in Guide To ALOHA POS Server, Carry Out Specialist. Make sure that all team members have a copy of Combining Checks at Same Table Explain there will also be times that guests ask for separate checks at the beginning of their dining experience and then may change their minds during the course of their meal and want one check. Combining Checks From Different Tables Explain there will be times when a guest in the restaurant would like to pay for another guest s check that is not at the same table.
