For over sixty years, Mother Nature has transformed the rolling hills of North San Diego County into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up approximately six to eight weeks each year. The suggested donation is $1.85 per meal. Guests under 60 shall pay $3.00 per meal. This program is funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act as amended by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging. All meals are served with milk, bread and margarine. Fred is known for greeting you with a friendly hello and makes sure to say goodbye before leaving. After lunch you will see him start to clear off the tables and sometimes empty the trash in the dining room. He is quick to clean a spill or alert staff. Fred loves to dress up for the different events we have, especially Halloween. His wife, Rosemary, will make his costume and they ll have a matching theme. He loves to dance and will forget about his aches and pains when he hits the dance floor during our holiday dances! Thank you Fred for all of your help! NOVEMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Trudy Hite is involved with a lot that goes on in our center. She s on the Bingo Committee, Advisory Council, and also was involved in forming the dance practice held at our center every second and fourth Wednesday. She plays Bingo every Monday, and also enjoys square dancing. She is a very busy lady! Trudy shares her good ideas and also helps within her church community. She enjoys watching roller derby and keeps very active as you can plainly see. Thanks again, Trudy for sharing your time and working hard to make this center even better! Please remember to stop by and sign Birthday Cards for the homebound and Get-Well and Thinking Of You Cards that bring a little sunshine to others. The table is located in the T.V. room.
