4 ABOUT UVB The Rep and Library of Birmingham UVB Unique Venues Birmingham (UVB) is a new commercial venture between Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Library of Birmingham to exploit the excellent conferencing and hospitality opportunities offered within the shared building on Centenary Square in the centre of the city. The REP In 2013, the theatre was redeveloped as part of the library of Birmingham project. It is home to the most famous and exciting repertory theatre companies in the country with reinventing ideas. The Studio Theatre capacity 300 Banqueting rounds 24 (194 with dance floor included) The Suites Theatre capacity 200 Banqueting capacity 140 (110 with dance floor) Library of Birmingham The Library of Birmingham provides a showcase for Birmingham s internationally important collections of archives, photography and rare books. Facilities include a state-of-the-art gallery space, opening up public access to the collections. 9 SERVICES PROVIDED by Monsoon Venue Group You will be allocated a Logistics Event Manager who will help with the planning of your event to make sure your day runs smoothly without any hitches. The primary role of the Event Manager is to plan and manage the event logistics, however they can also advise on suppliers and additional services if required. Your Event Manager will: Produce floor plans, event schedule and delivery schedule for the day Manage all communication with the venue manager in the lead up to and on the event day Arrange layout of furniture ahead of the event and manage all furniture requirements on the event day Make sure all suppliers are adhering to venue regulations and health & safety requirements. Act as venue point of contact for both client and suppliers on the event day Arrange stewards to meet guests and assist with wayfinding around the venue Manage logistics on the event day Manage breakdown of suppliers Arrange car park attendant to manage car parking Make sure the venue is kept clean through out the event and post event
10 GETTING TO UVB The Rep and Library of Birmingham When you are travelling to The REP from outside Birmingham, follow signs for the City Centre and then the International Convention Centre. If you are using an online route planner or satellite navigation, The REP s address is Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Centenary Square, Broad Street, Birmingham B1 2EP Parking Q-Park Brindley place car park is conveniently located just a few minutes away and offers safe and secure parking in addition to a range of convenient services including free umbrella hire, shoe shine machine, baby buggy hire, jump starts and more. There is additional parking available in the multistorey on Brindley Drive, at the back of The REP. The following car parks are also close by: Paradise Circus Multi-Storey, NIA, Town Hall Multi-Storey, Tennant Street and Holliday Street
