Call (626) Advance reservations are forfeited at 11:45 am. Late arrivals will be added to the waiting list. If you make a reservation for a Monday, be sure to check in before 11:15 or you will forfeit your lunch reservation. All adults 60 years and older and their spouses are welcome to have lunch. The suggested donation is $1.85 per meal. Guests years shall pay $3.00 per meal. This program is funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act as amended by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging. All meals are served with milk, bread and margarine. Transportation is available to Azusa residents from Azusa Dial-a-Ride. However, the course is open to licensed drivers of all ages. Course completion helps older drivers refine existing skills and develop safe driving strategies in today s challenging driving environment. There are no tests required. She is currently working at our coffee corner every Wednesday and is our hostess with the mostest every Thursday. Wherever Tina is, there are friends surrounding her and it is no wonder because she is so friendly and wise. She has a big family with lots of grandchildren and she loves to share photos and talk about them. Tina doesn t let her aches and pains get to her and continues to serve here with all her heart and ability. Tina, we love you! VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH Ginny Shurtliff is one of the Azusa Senior Center s most loyal and dedicated volunteers. Ginny is a long term volunteer who has been delivering meals to our home bound seniors in Azusa for more than 15 years! Her services are invaluable. Ginny never fails to go the extra mile and is always giving extra time to the senior she delivers to. When she has free time, she enjoys vacationing in Colorado where her daughter and grandchildren live. Thank you, Ginny, for all that you do. We appreciate you! U.S. Navy SeaBees Tour Thursday, September 12 Fee: $15.00 Leave: 8:30 a.m. Return: 5:00 p.m. Today s adventure takes us to Port Hueneme s for a tour of the Seabee Museum. The museum features present models of equipment and battle scenes, weapons, uniforms and arts and crafts by and about the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps and Seabees and video. This is a two hours tour. After our visit we drive into Camarillo for lunch on your own at Souplantation before ou last stop at the WWII Aviation Museum. They house two hangers that have WWII military aircraft & aviation artifacts and library. Among the vintage aircraft of display include; a B-25, an F6F Hellcat, a Japanese Zero and more!
