Time in the kitchen is sociable, collaborative and fun. Your team will learn new skills, cook with our chefs and prepare a feast you can all enjoy together. Our team building cookery classes provide an opportunity for participants to work in pairs as well as competitively in groups. Participating in the demanding, engaging environment of the kitchen with other people and time constraints is a powerful medium for team bonding and demonstrating how cooperation and team work create more motivated and effective teams. Choose from a fantastic selection of cookery experiences including Authentic Spanish Tapas; Everlasting English; Indian for Beginners and Authentic Italian. Our cookery classes are full or half days and include expert tuition, all ingredients, recipe folder and complimentary apron. We would recommend it wholeheartedly as the ultimate team build! 3 Gourmet Master Class The Ultimate in corporate hospitality Invite guests to a gourmet masterclass with executive chef William Grinsted. Under Williams expert guidance guests will spend the day in The Cookery School at Braxted Park preparing an impressive three course dinner with canapés which they will enjoy along with guests in the stunning setting of the Braxted Park ballroom that evening. The day begins with a welcome reception in the main house of the Braxted Park estate. Coffee, tea and biscuits are served before heading off to The Cookery School kitchen. Guests work in pairs to create a delicious feast for their evening guests. A typical menu: Canapé Sesame and cheddar croquettes with tomato and chilli jam Olive tapenade with thyme flat bread Starter Crab Rosti with celeriac remoulade and pea shoot salad Main Lamb fillet Wellington with saffron potatoes, carrot purée and parsnip crisps Dessert Beetroot and espresso brownie with pistachio meringue and biscotti Over the past 4 years the Anderson Foundation have built a solid relationship with Braxted Park, especially the Cookery School. The bespoke masterclass and dining experience that they carefully put together for our clients is always delivered to the highest standard and everyone that takes part thoroughly enjoys the day... some even learn a thing or two! 4 Gourmet Master Class The Ultimate in corporate hospitality Masterclasses are designed to be challenging but fun! At lunch time we stop for a well-earned break, all chefs are invited to take lunch in the oak panelled dining room of the main house where they will enjoy a home cooked lunch prepared by the estate owner s private chef. After lunch it s back into the kitchen until about 4.30 pm when it s time to relax and freshen up for evening. There is accommodation on the estate for guests if required and we provide 2 rooms in the main house for those guests not staying over to freshen up in. The intimate house bar is open from 4.30pm and guests are welcome to relax in the reception hall and bar of the main house until their evening guests arrive. Evening guests are invited to join their chefs from 6.30pm for a canapé reception which includes The Canapé Challenge. Only executive chef William Grinsted knows who s canapés are who s! All guests are invited to taste and the vote for their favourite canapes in a secret ballot. The winning pair will be presented with a bottle of something chilled at the end of the evening. At 7.30pm guests take their seats in the ballroom where they are served the meal prepared by their chefs by the Braxted Park team. All chefs and their guests are served and eat the actual food that they prepared during the Gourmet Masterclass. This sets the tone for a fun and very sociable evening. During coffee chef William Grinsted makes a presentation picking out the best dishes, kitchen disasters and generally recapping on the fun element of the days cooking leading to one pair of chefs being crowned Gourmet Masterchefs. Working as a team they will prepare a delicious array of afternoon tea treats including cake, tarts, scones, jellies, dainty sandwiches and mini quiches. Throughout December we host many Christmas parties for corporate clients looking for a unique way to celebrate Christmas with their teams. At our office Christmas party your team will prepare cocktails, canapés and a three course seasonal menu all under the expert guidance of Braxted Parks Executive Chef William Grinsted. Working in teams we add a competitive edge creating even more fun in the kitchen with prizes for stand out dishes and wooden spoons for culinary disasters and messy work station! At the end of the cookery class the teams sits down together to enjoy the festive feast they have prepared with a well-deserved glass of wine (or two!) Page 7

We work with you to create a bespoke team building event suiting your needs and helping to achieve your objectives. We worked with Dawn Davies from Metlife Ltd to create an effective team building and 2 day planning meeting for her team. Here is Dawn s testimonial: I was tasked with organising our Team s 2 day Planning Meeting and team building event last December and contacted Sharon at the Cookery School at Braxted Park as we had decided on a Cookery theme. Sharon was extremely helpful right from the beginning giving us ideas, a quote and itinerary and then taking into consideration our various needs and requests so that we ended up with a tailor made Event which suited all our needs. The Cottage was ideal for our main Meeting and great for after dinner drinks once the main House was closed and enabled us to socialise and finish off a great evening. All our Meeting requirements were catered for and we were well looked after during our meeting and throughout our stay. The meal in the Main House was a highlight with pre-dinner drinks in a beautiful setting where we were all made to feel at home rather than as guests in a hotel and the food was beautifully cooked by our own Chef which the team loved. The Cookery School event was a fantastic experience and although we had one member of the Team who has never cooked before and was slightly apprehensive, the Chef and staff soon won him round. We created some brilliant dishes and I know that everyone has gone on to use some of the tips we were given at home. By the end of the 2 days we felt as if we knew each other better and had also made some new friends with the staff of the Cookery School who were great fun. The experience is something I would definitely recommend to others. The Estate is stunning and the perfect place to hold an event be it Corporate or otherwise. Thanks once again to the Team Page 8
