4 THE CHURCHILL BAR & TERRACE This year, The Churchill Bar & Terrace will travel back in time and is excited to launch its Vintage London Winter Terrace on 1 November. The new winter menu will take you through a journey of Winston Churchill from the Darkest Hour, which celebrates Churchill s golden years as Prime Minister as he rallied the country together during the tough times of the war, also aptly named after the upcoming Churchill biopic pipped for Oscar success, to the Charleston Punch, which represents Churchill as an iconic bon vivant who enjoyed some of the world s most splendid hotels, including in San Francisco where the Pisco Punch was born. Finally, The Journalist celebrates how Churchill loved to write, as well as read, books and won a Nobel prize for some of his writing! Executive Chef Mark Sainsbury & his team have also created some delicious new warming winter dishes, adding a special twist to some of Churchill s favourites, taken from Churchill s Cookbook written by his beloved personal Chef Georgina Landemare. The winter dishes include a White Truffle Croque Monsieur, Homemade Braised Lamb & Potato Croquettes, and for those with a sweet tooth, Apple & Hazelnut Crumble.
