Participation in Breakfast Meetings at Annual Conference of Florida League of Cities (FLC) Each year FLC invites regional leagues to participate in Breakfast Meetings held in conjunction with FLC Annual Conference. The Annual Conference for 2017 is August 17-19, 2017, at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. Detailed information about costs associated with the Breakfast Meetings for 2017 is not yet available. However, information is being provided from last year showing pricing for the 2016 Breakfast Meetings, including menu choices. In the past few years, MSLC has been fortunate to participate at no cost in the Super Regional League Breakfast sponsored by Brighthouse and coordinated by University of Central Florida Institute of Government. The Super Regional League Breakfast consisted of Tri-County League of Cities (Orange, Seminole, Osceola Counties), Suncoast League of Cities (Pinellas and Hillsborough), ManaSota League of Cities, and Volusia League of Cities. Brighthouse was unable to fully fund the event in 2016, and MSLC did not participate anticipating no expenditure would be necessary and the expenditure was unable to be approved in advance. It is uncertain whether a sponsor for the Super Regional League Breakfast will be found for MSLC did not participate in Breakfast Meetings for several years because of the high costs involved.
