LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN The Scotsman Hotel would like to congratulate you on your recent engagement and invite you to consider our grand venue for your upcoming wedding celebrations. The Scotsman is a focal point on Edinburgh's historic North Bridge, with a unique collection of treasured views of the city. The stunning architecture was previously home to the Scotsman Newspaper's offices, the hotel of today is fast becoming one of Scotland's most luxurious venues. The Scotsman holds a license to conduct civil ceremonies within the hotel and offers the perfect setting for your luxury wedding celebration or civil ceremony. With our beautiful, fully refurbished wooden panelled Balvenie and Glenfiddich Suites we can meet all of your aspirations for your special day. Our Glenfiddich Suite has been newly designed and refurbished, making it one of the most adaptable and well finished private event spaces in the city. Flooded with natural light from its floor to ceiling windows, it benefits from an engineered timber floor, classic wood paneling and an in-room private bar. This suite also benefits from its own unique outdoor terrace, perfect for guests to mingle and relax on a sunny day. Concealed entirely from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside, it has its own weather proof roofing system and is fully heated, making it an idyllic space for guests to enjoy. BALVENIE SUITE The Balvenie Suite is a lovely intimate space which has also been recently restored and refurbished. Perfect for wedding ceremonies or smaller gatherings this room also features wood paneling and boasts a classic yet stylish finish. This suite is ideal for hire on its own or combined with the larger suite. LOCATION BY CAR Discounted car parking is available from a secure APCOA car park located a short ten minute walk from the hotel. If you bring your car to the front of the hotel to unload your luggage we can then provide directions to the car park. (Please note APCOA car park is not part of The Scotsman Hotel and the discount is an affiliation the hotel has set up for use of its guests). BY RAIL The closest station to the Scotsman Hotel is Edinburgh Waverley, when leaving the station exit onto Market Street, this will take no longer than a couple of minutes on foot. The Scotsman Hotel has an entrance with lift access to reception, please ring the buzzer and we will open the Market Street door for you (reception is located on level 4 within the lift). BY AIR Edinburgh Airport is approximately 8 miles away (follow directions for M8 and M9).
