1 Diet Experience My experience following the 2200 diabetic diets was both unpleasant and pleasant. The diet allowed me to eat four times a day. This was hard because I couldn t have AM or PM snack. Discontinuing the PM snack was the hardest because it was a five hour block. During this block, it was difficult to concentrate on lecture and listen to friends talking to me. Near the end of the block, I rode my bike home and was exhausted from riding. I tried to make dinner, but I quickly became irritated with myself and my husband. I felt terrible; usually I m happy and kind. This was part was unpleasant. The pleasant part was I felt in control of how many calories I consumed. I knew where the calories went. Like, budgeting money and tracking where that money goes. It is satisfying to know where you are at finically and with calorie intake. Overall it was a great experience and I feel compassion for diabetic patients.

Gram amounts results differ because of discrepancies between product brands. One discrepancy between product brands is portion sizes. A product made by two brand companies may have a larger or smaller portion size depending on which company makes the product. Larger portion sizes equal more ingredients, often including carbohydrates. An example of this discrepancy in my diabetic diet was hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is listed as one carbohy
