18 Tradition and innovation at the Grünauer Hof
19 Established in 1898, the Grünauer Hof in Wals near Salzburg, once known as Gasthaus zur grünen Au, has been pampering its guests with its family atmosphere, its stunning location, and the perfect blend of old and new. The combination of tradition and innovation runs in our family s blood, something that is evident in the continual building extensions and renovations we have made over the years. In 1962, we built the first 13 hotel rooms. In the 1970s, we built a new dining room seating up to 100 people. Today, we are very proud to run a hotel with 64 rooms, seminar facilities, a restaurant with a garden and 650 seats and last but not least the Grünauer Hof SPA for our hotel guests.
