7 Helping with Food Insecurity Swipe Out Hunger: The Swipe Out Hunger program provides an opportunity for Student Housing residents to contribute to a fund used by campus and local community charities to purchase food and other essentials to support students and community members most in need.
8 How Donations are Used Swipe Out Hunger: students may donate the food cost of their meal swipe to a fund that directly supports the following programs: Aggie Meal Share The ASUCD Pantry Yolo Food Bank
9 Aggie Meal Share The Aggie Meal Share is a Financial Aid program that provides meals to students who qualify for assistance: The program is managed through the Financial Aid Office Students are given meal swipes that can be used in any Dining Commons Facility

14 Food and Menu Labeling Vegetarian- Recipe does not contain meat, fish, poultry, or meat products (e.g., soup bases). Our vegetarian offerings meet the needs of lacto-ovo vegetarians, and may include eggs and/or dairy products Vegan - Recipe does not contain meat, fish, eggs, milk or other animal derived products such as honey and gelatin Antibiotic Free - Recipe contains animal proteins that have been raised without the use of antibiotics Halal - Recipe follows the guidelines of Islamic law including Zabiha-certified meat and no gelatin, alcohol or alcohol-containing extracts (e.g., vanilla extract).
15 Food and Menu Labeling Happy Healthy Apples - The Happy Healthy Apple (HHA) nutrient ranking system uses a set of criteria based on nutrient density to determine the healthfulness of a recipe. One apple is good, two is better and three is best! Aggie Grown - Recipe contains an ingredient that was produced on campus! Certified Humane - Recipe contains ingredients that meet animal welfare standards for the humane treatment of farm animals Food Alliance Certified - Recipe contains ingredients that meet rigorous Food Alliance sustainability standards. American Humane Certified - Recipe contains ingredients that meet animal welfare standards for the humane treatment of farm animals.
