2 Tel Fax Baked goods from italian tradition Product history I grissini The italian bread-sticks are loaves of crisp and elongated bread originary from Turin-Italy. It is known all over the world, becoming one of the most famous italian food products abroad. It is said that the Grissini (bread-sticks) were invented at Turin in the first half of 1600: in fact, it take its name from "gherssa", a typical Piemontese bread elongated and similar to french baguetes. The consumption of these delicious loaves elongated, initially only a privilege of the nobles, soon spreaded to the entire population. Nowadays, it becomes one of most consumed product in the italian dining tables.
