Moderately resistant to most pests and common diseases. Crabapple (Candymint) Malus Sargentii Candymint Crabapple (Golden Raindrops Malus transitoria Schmidtcutleaf Weight 15 Medium Foliage starts out dark maroon and leaves fade to green with veins and stems a reddish hue. Early spring buds start a deep carmine red, fading to a full pink as they open; dark maroon fruits. Vase shaped tree with deeply cut, finely textured leaves; turn bright yellow-orange, slightly purple and red in fall.
