An introduction to: Frozen Fruit from South America
ABOUT US Since 1994, TradeLink has been specialising in premium food products, giving our valued customers global supply options with exceptional service, value and quality standards. Today TradeLink serves their customers from offices in Auckland and Buenos Aires. OUR PRODUCTS We specialize in ancient grains and frozen fruit, mainly for the health, organic and gluten free food manufacturing industry. We make it easy for buyers to secure our products direct from the source, whilst saving them time and reducing the risks that come with cross-cultural and overseas buying. ABOUT SOUTH AMERICA We are exporters of specialist ingredients directly out of South America. New Zealand company on the ground in South America The sunny weather and fertile soils of South America have always provided excellent growing conditions for outstanding produce, but local government policies and other barriers have affected our ability to be a serious player in this field, until recently. Now, drastic changes in government, added to the food scares in other regions has brought South America back into the playing field providing a much needed alternative. GLOBAL LOGISTICS TESTING UPDATES We use our knowledge on global supply to help you meet your challenges. With 25 years experience behind us, your product is in good hands. TradeLink gets every batch we export thoroughly tested by an external laboratory. We proactively update you on the status of your order through our weekly updates.
BERRY PRODUCTION IN SOUTH AMERICA The main growing regions for Berries in South America have traditionally been Chile, Argentina and Brazil, but other regions are increasing production as well, especially Peru who is quickly becoming a major player in the region. South America is the 2nd largest producer of Blueberries, producing 22% of the global production, as well as other fruits, such as strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. Just like New Zealand now has plantations of feijoa, a South American native, growers in this region have been very successful with fruits more common to New Zealand, such as the kiwifruit, and more recently trials with boysenberries have been successful. South America also has a booming organic farming industry. Argentina has 3 million hectares of organic farm land, which is the second largest growing area in the world, after Australia.
HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TradeLink International has been operating in South America in the frozen fruit and vegetable market since 1994 and has had vast experiences not only with growers in the region, but also importing and exporting these products. This places TradeLink in a strategic position to: 1. Prove local help and knowledge for foreign companies wanting to source from South America. Be your boots on the ground here in South America, ensuring the entire operation from the farm to your door runs as smoothly as possible. 2. TradeLink can consolidate supply chains, simplify shipping and origin labelling by shipping containers with multiple products. 3. TradeLink Audited and approved facilities which include BRC accredited factories. 4. Ensure traceability of products and lot specific product testing. 5. Logistics solutions.
tradelinkinternational.com PACKAGING TradeLink International can provide the following packaging options in our generic brand or your own brand: Bulk 10kg boxes 1kg- 2.5kg foodservice bags 200g to 500g stand-up resealable pouch 200g to 500g clear bag in box TradeLink International can work with you and provide support in the development of artwork. ARG: NZ:
STORAGE & SHIPPING Outer Boxes: It depends on the specifications of the customer, but our recommendation is double wall corrugated box with no more than 10kg net weight. Shipping: A standard 10kg net weight corrugated box is stacked in layers of 10 boxes on a pallet, about 8 layers high and tightly pallet wrapped to protect the boxes during transit. A 40ft refer container can load 21 pallets of 80 boxes each, giving us a net weight of 16.8 tonnes per 40ft container.
Product Listings Below are some of the products TradeLink International can supply out of South America PRODUCT Blueberries TOTAL PER BAG Fruit Mixes (2 Berry mix, Smoothy Mix, Red Fruit Mix) Strawberries Mango Raspberries Passion Fruit Pulp Boysenberries Acai Pulp Blackberries Products with this logo are also available with organic certification
