Here we go again, just several weeks away from delivering the finest in fresh naturally grown produce to SE Wisconsin. The first crops are almost ready for the first Summer Share delivery on Thursday, June 11. Kath also has a crop of new-born critters to show off. (See photos.) There is still time to sign-up for the Summer Share; remember that any new member referral will net you a $10 credit on the web store. 6 Photos from the Farm this Week Dakota on green pasture for the first time this year, happily chowing down on organic greens Kath with a bottle lamb given to us Saturday by our fellow shepherd Maureen Kyle with the bottle lamb Spinach Saturday at HighCross Farm Kyle, Darryl and Kath will be participating in the filming of a movie this week, with some of our critters, including the bottle lamb and sheep and chickens and mamma and baby goats
7 Photos from the Farm this Week So Kath was watering flats in the greenhouses on Wednesday when she heard a bleating sound coming from just across the river. Kath looked over and there she saw this doe staring back at her. Grabbing the camera, Kath slowly headed for the doe, who stood nervously for a few moments, and then took off. Kath took a fix on where the doe had stood and made her way in that direction, when what to her wondering eyes should appear, but this little guy, who rather than running away, kept walking toward her. Had to be only a day or so old. Photographer s dream shot, eh?!
