Wojnar s is Austria s market leader in chilled fresh gourmet products. What we do, we do exceptionally well. Our specialities are salads, sandwich spreads, convenience products and fresh snacks. 3 History Grandpa Josef Wojnar founded Wojnar s in the 1930s and even back then produced spreads and cheese spreads such as the ever-popular Liptauer. In 1966 he passed the business on to his son Henrik and his wife Christa (our parents). In 1999 we three sisters, Susanne, Daniela and Nina Wojnar, took over the running of the business, then still in Vienna s 12th district. In 2000 Wojnar s and its staff of around 80 moved to the ultra-modern production facility in the Laxenburger Straße in Vienna s 23rd district. Facts Today Wojnar s employs over 330 staff and, with spreads, salads, gourmet foods, products for the catering industry, convenience foods and an organic range, has an annual turnover of over 60 million. Around 260 people work in production alone, which covers a production area of m 2. In 2013, we processed a total of 1.713t of rapeseed oil, 344t of margarine, 183t of herring, 117t of butter, 14,046 million eggs (or 93t), and 1.702t of soft cheese and turned out a total of finished products. This means that around 44t of finished products left our premises every day. On average, different recipes were prepared each week. Our production facilities are among the most state-of-the-art in Austria. With 18 filling systems we can not only fill different portion sizes (100g-10kg) and formats (round, square, oval), but also cope with the demands of a wide range of shelf lives (5 days-3 months).

4 Quality 9 people in quality control and our company laboratory ensure that our high standards are met every day. Wojnar s has been awarded every important certification, including IFS, organic and free-range. In addition, Wojnar s is RSPO-certified. Founded in 2004 on the basis of an initiative put forward by the WWF, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) works as an umbrella organisation to promote the sustainable cultivation of palm oil and thus limit damage to the environment. A certification system guarantees adherence to the principles and criteria. During the RSPO-certification process, producers are verified to make sure that palm oil is being produced in accordance with these criteria. The RSPO-certification of merchants and other businesses in the supply chain ensures that any information given on the use of certified sustainable palm oils is accurate. RSPO-certification offers and verifies four different supply chain models. We use the Mass Balance (MB) model. Mass Balance => Seeks to guarantee a certain ratio of certified to non-certified palm oil along the supply chain to the end product. We work with an environment management system and are concerned with issues such as sustainability and where our raw materials come from. Our audit for social responsibility is rated very satisfactory. Innovations are subject to review by our laboratory and quality control department and are always developed following the latest food and consumer trends. Wojnar s is also MSC certificated. The MSC (=Marine Stewardship Council) seal stands for the implementation of environmentally sustainable fishing methods and for a responsible use of current stocks. The MSC is an independent, non-profit organisation that is active worldwide and was founded jointly by an environmental agency, the WWF, and Unilever in order to offer solutions to the global problem of over-fishing. The blue seal gives consumers the option to make an environmentally-conscious choice when buying fish. By purchasing MSC-certified fish, consumers support sustainable and responsible fishing practices and send a clear message to the food trade. The MSC has a vision for a better future: oceans teeming with life in which supplies are safeguarded for this and future generations.
