Grows best in fertile, slightly acidic, moist well-drained soil, and doesn t tolerate compacted or clayish, poorly drained soil. Leaves have twice as much waxy coating as most Sugar Maples, good for use in hot, dry, windy areas. Princeton Gold is somewhat smaller than many Norway maples. #7 $

It features beautiful foliage colors from spring to fall, tolerates wind, drought, urban pollution, and salt. It also has superior disease and pest resistance. Sienna Glen is tolerant of many soil types and many growing conditions, hardiness, and low maintenance make it an excellent street, landscape, or park tree. #10 $

A cross between Red Sunset and Autumn Flame, it grows to 20 in 10 years, may reach if conditions are ideal. Only red male flowers appear in early spring, but no seeds are produced. #10 $ OAK, AMERICAN DREAM Quercus bicolor JFS-KW12 P.A.F. Height: 50 Spread: 40 Growth rate: slow Light requirement: full sun Color(s): green turning yellow in fall Flower: spring catkins Seeds: large acorns American Dream Oak is a vigorous-growing, broadly pyramidal tree with dense, bright green, glossy foliage. It has a strong resistance to anthracnose and powdery mildew. Its columnar form make it perfect for narrow or confined spaces. Its excellent columnar form has stronger, fuller branching structure than most columnar oaks. Two-toned green leaves create beautiful contrast.
